Monster Focus

In the realm of Splinterlands, where strategic battles are waged, the JARED SCAR from the Life Splinter stands tall as an absolute beast. Often overlooked by some, this monster shines in specific battles that accentuate its strengths and capabilities!

With a careful examination of this formidable creature, we'll unravel the unique combination of abilities that seamlessly complement each other, transforming it into a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. As we explore its potential in this week's Social Media Challenge, you'll soon realize why investing in JARED SCAR and incorporating it into your lineup can be a game-changer 😜

Ability Focus

Bloodlust - Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats

True Strike - This monster's attacks cannot miss
(Blind ability doesn't affect monster with True Strike)

Piercing - If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor,
the remainder will damage the target's Health

Ruleset Focus

Below are several rulesets that synergize harmoniously with the incredible JARED SCAR.
Keep a look out for these rulesets and seize the opportunity to unleash the true power of
JARED SCAR in battle, significantly boosting your odds of achieving glorious victory! ✌️

Up Close & Personal - Only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in battles

Super Sneak - All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability

Equal Opportunity - All Monsters have the Opportunity ability

The Battle

In my alt account, jimbei, I had the opportunity to participate in a battle that perfectly demonstrated the effectiveness of deploying the formidable JARED SCAR, particularly in an Equal Opportunity ruleset. To get right into the action, the battle link can be found here. Otherwise, do read on as I go into more detail regarding the lineup and fight.

Now, let's dive into the ruleset that governs this particular battle. First, we encounter the Odd Ones Out ruleset, which stipulates that only Monsters with odd Mana costs are permitted for use. Secondly, the Equal Opportunity ruleset, as mentioned earlier, comes into play. Lastly, the Noxious Fumes ruleset that Poisoned all Monsters at the start of the battle. The battle has a mana limit of 29, and it banned the use of the Fire and Death Splinters.

Summoner, Grandmaster Rathe

Considering the available Splinter options for this battle, one particular Monster stood out in my mind, leading me to opt for the Life Splinter. When deciding between General Sloan and Grandmaster Rathe, the choice was evident as I prioritized better survivability, particularly due to the Noxious Fumes ruleset. Including Grandmaster Rathe in your lineup, except for the Unprotected ruleset, can notably enhance your team's durability. His ability to grant +1 Armor and Void Armor synergize seamlessly, providing much-needed defense during battles 😏

First Position, Blinding Reflector

The Blinding Reflector proves to be a cost-effective option as a tank in this battle. With a mere 3 mana cost, it boasts 4 Armor and 6 Health, and when combined with Grandmaster Rathe's Void Armor ability, its durability is further bolstered. Its attractiveness is amplified by the ability to Blind opponents and reflect Magic damage with its Magic Reflect ability 💪

Second Position, Jared Scar

The primary reason for choosing the Life Splinter was the presence of the Equal Opportunity ruleset, which always makes me confident in selecting the JARED SCAR. With the True Strike ability, JARED SCAR's attacks never miss, ensuring a dependable and precise offense. The Piercing ability enables JARED SCAR to bypass the opponent's armor, dealing damage that surpasses their defensive capabilities. Additionally, the Bloodlust ability further boosts JARED SCAR's power, increasing its strength with each opponent it defeats 😤

Third Position, Venari Marksrat

Venari Marksrat is a constant favorite in my lineups across multiple accounts, especially when the battle calls for its unique abilities. As a fodder unit, I position it beside JARED SCAR, allowing me to capitalize on the Martyr ability when Venari Marksrat falls. Its main appeal lies in the Martyr ability, making it a popular choice to enhance its adjacent allies strategically. During an Equal Opportunity ruleset, this monster gains even more popularity as I position it tactically to draw attention as the first target 😅

Fourth Position, Adelade Brightwing

Opting for Adelade Brightwing is crucial for the success of my strategy. The Resurrect ability perfectly synergizes with the Martyr ability, potentially granting my lineup a stats boost twice. Moreover, the Repair ability complements the +1 armor buff from Grandmaster Rathe, ensuring my team's survival during the battle 😁

Last Position, Stitch Leech

The Stitch Leech is positioned strategically in the last position, taking advantage of its Life Leech ability. As I was concerned about the opponent potentially using monsters with the Sneak ability as well, the Stitch Leech can skillfully infiltrate the enemy's backline using its own Sneak ability and replenish its Health stats through the Life Leech ability 😝

The Analysis

In a similar manner to my strategic approach, the opponent also opted for Grandmaster Rathe from the Life Splinter, believing it would create the most durable lineup for this battle's rulesets. However, I felt that my opponent didn't utilize the ruleset effectively, failing to set up the team strategically and optimize the monsters' abilities to their fullest potential. Placing Venari Marksrat towards the last few positions between Djinn Renova and Chaos Agent prevented the early triggering of the Martyr ability, and Adelade Brightwing's Resurrect ability was wasted on reviving the Gargoya Scrapper. Additionally, using an under-leveled Summoner in the Diamond League definitely didn't work in my opponent's favor 🤣

In contrast, the battle unfolded exactly as I had anticipated. My opponent targeted my Venari Marksrat early on, and as planned, Adelade Brightwing resurrected it, triggering the Martyr ability twice and providing additional stat boosts to both JARED SCAR and Adelade Brightwing. With these enhancements, combined with JARED SCAR's Bloodlust ability, it transformed into an unstoppable force towards the end of the battle. Take a look at its final stats in the screenshot here! 😜
