I purchased 15 foundation card packs!

Greetings friends!

Although, I am playing in splinterlands guild brawls only, I thought to check what happening in splinterlands virtual world. I purchased 15 foundation card packs. It cost me about roughly 5000 DEC which is not more than $3. To my surprise I got a few cards which combined value was more than the money I spend on buying total 15 cards. I got a few gold cards. This is good.

I thought about splinterlands. Once it was a great game. Now they are issuing very ordinary cards. I should say they are extra-ordinary cards. It doesn't mean they are good but they are very poor and even the legendary and epic cards are not so good as the old common cards in terms of their abilities. Even the legendary cards have no such abilities which you may consider as satisfactory. Greed and mismanagement have destroyed the entire game. This is very sad to see.

I can't do anything to improve this game. This is beyond repairing. Nothing can save it now. I made a great mistake when the value of my cards was over $30k. Now the value of my total cards is less then $200. No one is ready to buy cards. What else I can say.

Yes, these cards are ugly and have less capacities. It is pathetic.

It's good that you were lucky and avoided losses on what you paid for the packages, and I hope you'll come back to playing for fun at least.

Splinterlands has lost its charm. They have introduced too many cards and also rewards are missing. You have to buy cards spending too much but when you wish to sell them, you won't find many buyers in the market.

Mine went from 1900 to 120.
I think the cards need to be broken up into cohorts that match the even matched sets together.
Something to bring potential value to the old cards, again.
That way, new cards vie with old cards for new money.
Why buy new cards when the old cards are cheaper and effectively do the same things?

They have made it difficult to use old cards by asking 2000 DEC fee for playing in wild format where one can use one's old cards viz. alpha, beta, chaos legion etc. 2000 DEC is a fee for wild pass that is valid for roughly 15 days. So, there is no profit in buying wild pass. Also, they are printing too many cards. In order to sell new card sets they are making it harder to use old cards.
Also the model is wrong. A single card having BCX of 1 is more costly then the combined cards. Suppose you have a single card which price is 1 then you combine 14 cards for leveling up to 3. So, you'll have to spend 14 USD. But, price per BCX will be just $0.10. It means You cannot sell that card above $1. So, there is a loss of $13 for you.
