[Noob Question] Can each Chaos Legion pack really be worth $25+?
So I am new to Splinterlands, but I got in largely because of the new Chaos Legion release. Once cards are released the game quickly becomes a pay-to-win game, with many tutorials out there telling you almost exactly what cards you need to buy or rent to get to specific tiers in ranked.
My question is this, if I could only afford ~$400 worth of cards which at the current and consistent price of vouchers being around $21 usd and the price of the actual pack on Splinterlands is $4 usd (So ~$25/pack), I can only afford 16 packs! That seems pretty damn steep. If each pack has 5 cards, that's $400 = 80 cards. Since these cards are random, does anyone think it's possible to lose money buying these cards? Or is it unlikely thanks to the special bonus card awards they give to the early voucher buyers?
