This was a low mana ruleset game and every color is available to play except the Fire and Earth Splinters. This gave me few options to play with and I used my favorite Splinter in the game, which is the Water deck. This battle was a BRAWL game, where I took the seats for the Bronze League and unfortunately this game was the only one I won, so let see what is happened here. 😎

My Lineup

I have chosen Kelya Frendul who is an excellent summoner in almost any fight, because he gives +1 Armor and Speed to all of his friendly monsters. There are many good monsters in the Water deck and it was very difficult for me to choose from.

The Hardy Stonefish is a low mana cost mini tank and if he is lucky enough he will soak up two attacks from the enemy team.

The Djinn Oshannus is my personal favorite monster, because he has a very high speed and the Void ability, which will reduce all the incoming magic attacks against him. He also has high health and he is perfect as a tank as well.

I had to use some support for my Djinn Oshannus, so the perfect candidate was the Merdaali Guardian, because she has the Heal ability, which will restore some health for the monster in the first position.

Isgald Worst is a Gladius card and such he is able to play only in Brawl games or using one of the new reward summoner, because they are able to use Gladiator cards outside of the Brawl. The signature ability of the Gladiator cards are the Bloodlust ability, which will increase all of their stats by one if they manage to secure a kill. The Opportunity is a very good combination to get a quick kill from the enemy backline.

The Deeplurker is one of the best Opportuniy monster within the Water Splinter and such he is an excellent support for my Gladiator card of Isgald. He has high attack and on higher levels Poison as well, but in this fight he was limited to a maximum of level 3.

My opponent brought a similar team like mine, but without a Gladiator card. The Weak Magic ruleset helped a lot to me, because his Djinn Oshannus could not kill my Hardy Stonefish with one shot giving me more time to deal damage.

Unfortunately Isgard was much quicker than my Deeplurker, so he couldn't get any kill for himself, because the Deeplurker always stole that from him.

In this situation I thought that I would lose this fight, but the Weak Magic helped a lot to me. Also Isgald made a killing blow against their Djinn Ishannus and increased his own stats, but more importantly he got an extra point of armor, which saved his life against the Flying Squid.

With the help of the Deeplurker they managed to overcome against the Flying Squid and that showed me the true potential of the Gladiator cards. 😙

Yes, I like it mostly because I am able to use different tactics that I used to play and try something new. The only problem with this is that it limits the options that the players can use, so the chance for a mirror match is much higher. 😊
