All monsters receive the Magic Reflect ability at the start of the battle. Enemy monsters that attack with magic receive damage back.

Damage returned is equal to the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
Magic monsters with the Reflection Shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.
The Amplify ability increases damage.

The Battle Ruleset

What Doesn't Kill You: All Monsters have the Enrage ability .
Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
Counterspell: All monsters receive the Magic Reflect ability at the start of the battle.

This is a low mana ruleset game and only three color is available to play the Fire, Water and Life Splinters. My favorite Splinter out of this three would be the Water and the Life, but the mana cap was so low that I had to follow a different strategy for this battle. I tried to take advantage of Tarsa's double buff and I hoped that it will be enough to win this battle.

My Team Composition

image.png
Tarsa is a Fire summoner who gives +1 Melee attack and +1 Health to all of his creatures. I like to use her in low mana battles, because there are some amazing low mana monsters within the Fire Splinter.
image.png
The Explosive Rats is a very good choice in the Equalizer ruleset, because normally he would have only one Health, but in this battle he would have the same amount of Health like the one with the most. His advanatage is his Blast ability, which will damage the monsters next to his target as well.
image.png
The Scorch Fiend is my off-tank for this battle and surprisingly he would have 8 Health, which is an amazing feature from a zero mana monster.
image.png
The Uraeus cost only 3 mana and he is a Sneak attack monster, which means that he will attackthe last monster from the enemy team and he can trigger a poison on them if he is lucky.
image.png
The Spirit Hoarder is an amazing choice for this battle, because he cost only 3 mana as well and he has the Blind ability, which will give a 15% miss chance to all enemy monsters. The Triage helps a lot to heal our backline if there is a Sneak or Snipe monster in the enemy team.
image.png
The Serpentine Spy has the Opportunity ability, so he will always target the monster with the lowest Health, so he might be able to attack the enemy tank or to help for the Uraeus to kill their last monster.
image.png
The Spark Pixies is a bit expensive to rent, but he is well worth its price, because he cost only 4 mana got a lot of Speed and he also has the Stun ability, which will makes his target to skip their next round if it triggers.

My strategy was to bring two high Speed monster as a tank and as a last monster ofr my team, because as soon as they are damage they will take advantage of the What Doesn't Kill You ruleset and they will increase all of their stats. The Exploding Rats had 11 Speed, which is nearly impossible to hit and the Spark Pixie had 8 Speed.

My opponent lost his two tank already at the end of the second round and he missed our creatures a lot. The Spark Pixie took only few attacks, but my Spirit Hoarder took care of him and healed him out.

Unfortunately my Spark Pixie died at the third round, but my opponent lost his Deeplurker as well and his Uraeus was Poisoned and soon died as well.

The Exploding Rats had a huge 6 damage thanks to the Enrage and he was doing a lot of damage throughout the game. It was easy to kill the last two of his creature, because my monsters overwhelmed theirs and I managed to get a win.

Do you like Counterspell? Why or why not?

Yes I like it, because it helps me to create a different teams what I usually does and because the Magic damage is quite strong in this game, so it is very good to counter that with this ruleset.
