Equalizer ruleset

The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.

Description:

All units start with the same health, based on the highest health on either team.

Buffs and debuffs are done afterward - this impacts base health.

The Battle Ruleset

image.png

Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
Little League: Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 mana or less may be used in the battles.
Target Practice: All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.

This is a high mana ruleset game and only three color is available, which is the Life, Fire and the Dragons. Unfortunately the Little League ruleset limits the amount of mana we can use, because it is not allowed to bring a monster higher than 4 mana. The Equalizer helps a bit on the monsters, because it will increase their health to be on the same on the battlefield.

My Team Composition

image.png

Tarsa is my number one choice here, because she has a lot of good small mana monsters without worrying about their health. She gives +1 melee attack and health to all of her friendly monsters.

image.png

The Explosive Rats is the perfect monster in the Equalizer ruleset, because this monster normally has only one health, but not this time. He has Blast and Redemption ability, which is quite useful in this battle.

image.png

The Uraeus is a low mana cost monster with the Sneak and Poison Ability, which means that he will attack the last monster from the enemy backline and if he is lucky he will trigger his Poison ability on them as well.

image.png

The Serpentine Spy is one of the main monster in a Tarsa team, because he is cheap, fast and has the Opportunity ability, so he will target the lowest health monster on the battlefield.

image.png

The Spirit Hoarder is an amazing support in this battle, because he has the Triage ability, so he will restore the health of one of the monster who got damaged in his backline in every round. The Blind ability is also a very good protection aagainst any ranged or melee attack monster, because it gives 15% cahnce to evade their attack.

The Spark Pixies is a low cost, Flying monster with the Stun ability. He is quite expensive to rent, but he has an amazing value taking off the enemy monster in the first position if his Stun will trigger.

My opponent countered my melee attack buff from Tarsa with his Camila and he brought the same Explosive Rats like me as a tank. Luckily we killed it before the first round finished, because all my monsters were attacking it in this round. At the end of this round I lost my tank as well, but my team were quicker, so we had a slight advantage over my opponent.

In the second round he lost his off tank as well (thanks again for the focus damage) and his Uraeus was Poisoned from the previous round, so he also died at the end of this round.

He had the Dhampir Stalker and tried to kill my Spark Pixies at the end of my backline, but that monster has a lot of speed and Flying, so he missed him a lot, which gave me an extra time to deal more damage.

Eventually my team overpowered his one, because his damage was more widespread than my team's focus damage. 😀

Do you like Equalizer? Why or why not?

Yes I like it, because all the small mana cost or low health monsters has more usecase to be used as I do not need to worry about their health and many times they got amazing abilites. It is very important to use Triage monsters to heal up the backline from the opponent attacks.
