Even Stevens ruleset

Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles.

Description:

Only units with even mana costs may be used.

This rule does not apply to summoners.

There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but having an idea of mana points of a few monsters helps in predicting what your opponent can and cannot use.

The Battle Ruleset

Super Sneak: All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.
Even Stevens: Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles.
Noxious Fumes: All Monsters start the battle Poisoned.

This is a middle mana ruleset game and only three color is available to play, which is the Life, Water and the Dragon Splinters. I choose my favorite splinter, which is the Water deck, because they have a lot of good even monsters and the plus one armor is always a nice addition. 😀

My Team Composition

	Kelya Frendul is a four mana Summoner who gives +1 speed and armor to all of his friendly monsters. In this battle he got countered hard, but I had to pick him to choose one of the best ranged attack monsters available in the game.
	The Diemonshark is an excellent melee attack monster for 8 mana, because he has the Enrage ability, which will increase his stats when he is damaged.
	I used the Kelp Initiate, because he has the Cleanse ability on level four, which removed the Poison from my Diemonshark.
	Baakjira is my off tank in this figth, because I wanted to protect my ranged attack monsters in my backline and also one of my tactic was to have a monster with the Heal ability to sustain the Poison damage as long as possible.
	The Merdhampir is a ranged attack monster with 2 damage and with the Life Leech ability to increase his own health a little bit against the Poison.
	The Kulu Swimhunter is a low mana cost monster with a a lot of damage and speed, unfortunately he is not protected against the Poison and Snaek attack monster, so he need to deal his damage quick.
	I used Igor Drakspear to Stun his tank in the first position and if it triggers it might give a huge advanatage for us.

My opponent brought a very strong summoner, which is the Byzantine Kitty and her ability is just perfect for this ruleset. He heals his tank in the first position, gives plus two speed and the Aim True ability to all of his monsters.

Unfortunately in the first round my Igor suffered a heavy damage, but he didn't die yet and he managed to Stun his Djinn Chawala, so he will skip his next turn. The Poison killed my Igor and his Fiend at the end of the round.

Thanks to the Enraged Diemonshark and Kulu together they killed their Chwala, so they removed my opponent biggest threat on the battlefield. The Poison killed two of his monster at the end of the round, so we had a huge chance to win this game.

In the following round the Diemonshark used his Trample ability and killed the last two monster from the enemy team.

Do you like Even Stevens? Why or why not?

I like it very much, but my only problem with it if I am unable to pick my favorite summoners for this battle, because not all of the are well suited for this ruleset at least for me. 😀
