#Splinterlands - Minting the Runi

Hi,

two days ago, the sale for the first card on Ethereum, started on Splinterlands. I took place in the presale, so I could grab one with some relatively discount.

The Runi, came for the whitelisted ones at a price of 0.19 ETH, which is over $290 and 100 vouchers, which is about $25. So a Runi with a whitelist spot was around $320. As it is on ETH, there are always cost involved with each transaction, and I'm curious how this is going to be implemented in the game play.

Even if I think that the way new stuff is coming out on Splinterlands is too much, I think it is a good investment. There are so many unfinished parts, like the land part, which was announced long time ago, or the new tower defence game, which will be ready sometimes in the future, but somehow gives SPS for the pack holders.

I was an Alpha investor, and I think those cards needs to keep their value and be of benefit somehow. If they change this, then any new edition will probably have the same faith and the game will be worthless in the end. Here still I have high hopes, that it won't happen.

The Runi would be the first issued on Eth. It has some nice perks and can be a valuable card later, this is the main reason I've acquired it, as an investment.

Have you bought the Runi? Do you play Splinterlands
