A 55 Mana Battle with No Rulesets — Sorrow Harvester Remains My Favorite Monster

In today's 55 mana battle there was an interesting match where I got the chance to select some good monsters. High mana battles always give you more options when choosing monsters.

My win rate is usually higher in high mana battles because I take my time selecting my monsters. I don't have to worry much about the mana cap so I can easily choose the best monsters and place them in the best positions before the battle starts.

Unfortunately I lost this battle and it was probably because of my poor monster selection.

There were no rulesets in today's 55 mana battle which means it was a free-hand battle. You could choose any type of monster without worrying about any special rules while making your selection.

I selected five monsters and my opponent also selected five monsters. I chose an Archon that gives -1 Health because in high mana battles you should always try to reduce the enemy team's Health as much as possible whether through your Archon or through monster abilities.

After that I placed a strong melee and magic attacker on the frontline as my tank. I expected them to absorb as much damage as possible while my backline monsters kept attacking continuously.

In the middle positions I again selected magic and ranged attackers. I chose two magic attackers and one ranged attacker so they could deal maximum damage to the enemy team.

In the backline I placed a melee attacker with the Sneak ability so it would keep attacking the enemy monster in the last position.

The battle started with good positioning and a solid strategy. At the beginning the match was very tense. Both teams kept losing monsters one by one. However after the middle rounds my team started struggling. One by one my monsters were eliminated and I eventually lost the battle.

Even so the standout monster in this battle was Sorrow Harvester. Its powers and abilities are excellent. It is a 7 mana magic monster. Being a magic attacker means it bypasses armor and deals damage directly to the enemy's Health.

It attacked with 2 magic damage every round and because of that it eliminated two enemy monsters.

Its biggest weakness is its low Health. At the starting level it has only 3 Health which makes it fragile. If it had more Health it could survive much longer in battle and deal even more damage.

Its Speed is also low which reduces its chances of attacking before faster enemies.

At Level 1 it has the Weaken ability. This ability reduces the Health of all enemy monsters by 1.

As I mentioned earlier in high mana battles you should try to reduce the enemy team's Health through your abilities or your Archon. That was exactly my strategy. Thanks to both my Archon and this monster's Weaken ability all enemy monsters started the battle with 2 less Health which was a solid plan.

Unfortunately my opponent had a stronger lineup and I ended up losing the battle.

The price of Sorrow Harvester is only 2 cents so you can easily add it to your deck.
