Calabash Sage – Powerful Magic & Support Skills with Healing and Cleanse

In Splinterlands today I got to play another very good battle which was very interesting. The most special thing about this game is that in every battle you get to learn something new.

Today I got a 26 mana battle which is called a low mana battle and winning such battles is not very easy because in low mana you have to make the team very carefully. In low mana battles, you need to find the monsters which fits the best combinations of the monsters that can help you win the battle.

In this battle I selected only 4 monsters while my opponent selected 7 monsters. When I saw his team I understood that this battle would not be easy. I thought that I would use yesterdays strategy again because it was successful yesterday but unfortunately today that strategy did not work.

In my opinion my monster selection was still good if I had done their positioning correctly then maybe I could have won this battle today. The biggest mistake was that the tank monster which I had to place on the frontline I placed it in the last position.

Because of this my frontline became weak and due to the opponents attacks my monsters were eliminated one by one. That brings my team to the weak point and at last I got defeat in the battle.

In this battle my favorite monster was Calabash Sage whose abilities impressed me a lot. It is a support and magic attack monster which plays an important role in keeping the team alive. Its most special ability is Tank Heal which heals the frontline monster in every round.

Besides this it can also have an ability like Cleanse which removes negative effects. If I had placed this monster on the frontline then it would not only deal good damage but also my other monsters would remain safe for a long time which could become the game changer of this battle.

But this monster also has some weaknesses like its health and defense are not very high so if it is placed in front without a plan it can be eliminated quickly. That is why its correct positioning is very important. This mistake became the biggest reason for todays defeat.

Anyway, despite losing this battle was a good experience for me because from this I realized my mistakes. Next time I will pay special attention to positioning along with team selection.

This is the beauty of this game that every battle teaches us something. I hope that next time I will enter the field with a better strategy and achieve victory. I will try to select even more good monsters and will concentrate on its positioning.
