Decrepit Windseer’s Skills Stand Out in Tactical Low Mana Battles

Low mana battles have always been a little tactical and they create a special problem in the selection of monsters. When the mana is low the player has to build the team very carefully.
Because of this reason I do not like low mana battles very much because they keep the selection of monsters quite limited. Often it happens that the monsters you want to use have a higher mana cost and then you have to compromise.
But because in Splinterlands battles keep coming automatically with different mana rules, every player should be ready for every situation. Whether the mana is high or low making a good strategy is the real secret of winning.
Todays battle was also similar where the total available mana was 22. For me this was quite a tough situation because in this mana cap selecting strong monsters is not easy. I need to concentrate to select the best monsters.
At lasts I decided that I should fill the maximum slots of my team. My plan was that if there were more monsters on the field I could keep getting continuous attack and support from the backline. Sometimes when there are more monsters, it takes time for the opponent to eliminate them and you can get a chance for a comeback.

Following my old strategy I placed tank type monsters in the frontline that had high health so they could absorb more damage. The job of tank monsters is to handle the opponents attacks at the start so the monsters behind them can stay safe and continue attacking.
After the third position I selected monsters that had sneak attack, damage and support abilities. In this way my team became a balanced combination where there was defense in the front and attack and abilities support in the backline.
In this battle I selected maximum and when the battle started I found out that the opponent also selected all monsters. That means both sides had full teams and the match was going to be very interesting.
As soon as the battle started my frontline monsters began receiving strong hits. The opponent had some high damage dealers who were hitting my tanks very quickly. The start was not good for me and I felt that maybe this match could become difficult very soon.
But when the battle reached after the third monster I started to see a little control. Some of my monsters showed good resistance and stopped some of the opponents attacks. But the problem was that my main tank monsters had already been eliminated.

When tank monsters are finished the backline monsters cannot survive for long. Because of this the battle could not continue for a long time and slowly my remaining monsters were also eliminated. In the end I had to face defeat in this match.
But in every defeat there is always something to learn. In this battle my favorite monster was Decrepit Windseer. The abilities of this monster impressed me a lot.
The most special thing about Decrepit Windseer is its abilities that weaken the opponents team. It has the Rust ability which reduces the armor of enemy monsters.
Because of this it becomes easier for our team to deal damage to them. In the same way the Headwinds ability reduces the power of enemy ranged attackers which is very useful when the opponent is using a ranged strategy.
Have you every played this monster? Tell about its any ability. Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
