Today’s 32 mana battle was very interesting. I had the chance to select only three monsters along with one Archon while my opponent selected five monsters with an Archon.

It was a great battle with a special ruleset and I tried to build my team according to a specific strategy. However I still made some mistakes that ultimately led to my defeat in this battle. Lets know what was my strategy and what mistake did I make.

The first mistake was my melee attacker selection. I chose Dire Bear which costs 10 mana. That was not the best decision because this was a mid mana battle. I should have selected a lower mana monster that had useful abilities, good attack power and a higher chance of avoiding attacks.

Considering the ruleset I should have focused on low speed monsters because everything was reversed because of the Reverse speed.

Slow monsters would attack first and would also have a better chance of hitting their targets while fast monsters would be at a disadvantage. Unfortunately I made the mistake of selecting one of the fastest monsters available.

On the positive side my secondary tank selection was quite good. Two of my monster choices worked well with the ruleset but the high mana cost monster disrupted the overall balance of my team.

As a result I could not build the strongest possible combination which contributed to my loss.

Another mistake was that my last two monsters did not have any abilities. In contrast my opponent's team was packed with useful abilities. Most of their monsters had abilities such as Sneak, Opportunity, and Reach which provided excellent support throughout the battle.

Even though I lost it was a valuable learning experience. It taught me how important monster selection and positioning are in Reverse Speed battles. I learned a lot about choosing the right monsters and placing them correctly for this type of ruleset.

Despite the defeat I would still call Wilhelmdale Deputy the hero of this battle. He is an excellent ranged attacker and with his continuous attacks, several enemy units were eliminated.

Looking at his stats, Wilhelmdale Deputy is a 7 mana monster with 5 health. If you place him in the backline and support him with a monster that can heal or protect him, he can survive for a long time. The longer he stays alive the longer he can continue dealing ranged damage to the enemy team.

His speed is only 1 which was actually a great advantage in this Reverse Speed ruleset. As a ranged attacker he also has 2 attack power that means he consistently dealt 2 damage every round. Thanks to his attacks, two to three enemy monsters were eliminated during the battle.

As for the price you can usually find this monster card for around $0.1 to $0.2 making it a very affordable card.

What do you think about this monster card? Do you have it in your deck? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
