Reviewing My Last 25 Days of Splinterlands Battles: Why Kicking Roc Became My Favorite Card

After playing one month battles in Splinterlands I thought it would be a good idea to look back at my recent performance and see how things have been going. By checking my match history I can compare my wins and losses and see how many battles ended in a draw and figure out which parts of my gameplay need the most improvement and what areas I must focus to improve in the battle...
Looking at my battle history from the last 25 days the results have not been as good as I expected. I managed to win 10 battles and lost 14 and had 1 draw.. So far my losses are higher than my wins which shows that there is still plenty of room for improvement and better decision making in future battles.
From my analysis I found that most of my losses happened in low mana battles. The main reason is that I do not have enough strong monster cards for low mana battles to make the best selections and positioning.
Often I select high mana monster cards even in low mana battles which results in a weak team combination and eventually leads to a loss.

On the other hand I often win high mana battles because I can fill all the slots with monster cards. This gives me the opportunity to choose better monsters after understanding the strategy and ruleset and by improving their positioning I am able to win more battles.
A few days ago I played what was probably my most exciting and impressive battle of the month. It was a 60 mana cap battle and included two special rulesets.
The first ruleset was Weak Magic which gives all units Void Armor. This means armor must be damaged first before health can be affected. The second special ruleset allowed players to summon one Wild unit.
Because of these rulesets I selected my best armored monsters. I kept in mind that armor would absorb damage first no matter how many magic attackers the enemy team had.
Therefore I focused heavily on armored units. At the same time I included more melee attackers because in battles with such modifiers. The stronger your attack power is the better your chances of winning.
Keeping all these factors in mind helped me secure a great victory in that battle.

Among all the battles I played during this period the monster I liked the most and became my favorite was Kicking Roc. It belongs to the Life element. Its stats and abilities are excellent.
It is a magic attacking monster that deals 3 damage to the enemy each round. Since it is a ranged style backline unit it is best placed in the back position so you can take full advantage of its abilities.
It also has 5 health which helps it survive longer in battles and a speed of 2 which supports its overall effectiveness.
This is an 8 mana card that can be used easily in medium to high mana battles.

If we talk about its market price it is available at a very low cost. At level 1 you can get this card for only about 1 to 4 cents making it easy to add to your deck. Later when you have more funds available you can upgrade it as well.
What do you think about this monster card? Do you have it in your deck? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment seciton.
