Turning a Lost Battle into a Win — Mid Position Units Take Control Back

In this content you can see how in this 54 mana battle my mid position monsters handled the situation and how this game which I had already lost was turned into a win.

And the biggest reason for this is properly understanding the ruleset and doing the battle positioning.

Sometimes a player makes the best strategy and plan from their side and selects the monsters according to that plan but sometimes your front line, sometimes mid line or sometimes back line monsters do not work.

There can be a delay or weakness in one of them. But if your monster selection in all three positions is according to your strategy then if even one of these positions works well you can get excellent survival and you can win the battle.

Today in this 54 mana battle I got a very impressive win and this battle was very interesting. Although there were three strict rulesets in this battle where it was necessary to select monsters very carefully because this was a high mana battle.

So planning a strategy according to these strict rulesets in this battle had become quite easy because in a high mana battle you have much more opportunity for monster selection and you can make the proper selection according to any ruleset.

Before going onto the battlefield it is important to know which three rulesets came in this battle where restrictions and advantages were given.

RULESET 1 - FIRE AND REGRET

The first ruleset is Fire and Regret which is a disadvantage for both teams. Because all units whether they belong to the enemy team or the allied team all of them have Return Fire.

And in Return Fire what happens is that 50% of ranged damage is returned to the attacker rounded up.

All the ranged attackers whenever they attack 50% of their damage will be returned to the attacker in rounded up form.

This means that whenever your ranged attacker damages your opponent it will also continuously damage itself through the Return Fire ability.

So in this ruleset what strategy is necessary? You should avoid ranged attackers as much as possible. The more ranged attackers you have the more this Return Fire ability will affect you.

RULESET 2 - ENRAGED WARRIORS

The second special ruleset is Enraged Warriors. In this melee units get first priority compared to magic and ranged units because melee units will attack before magic and ranged units.

This means that according to this ruleset melee units will work more effectively and they will get the opportunity to attack first.

Keeping this ruleset in mind it is necessary that you make a list of all the strong melee attackers you have and position all of them properly on the front line.

And if you have the Reach and Charge abilities then melee attacks will get even more advantage because they can continue attacking while staying in any position.

RULESET 3 - AIM TRUE

The third ruleset is Aim True which is an advantage for all units. All units get the True Strike ability and with True Strike the attack will never miss.

Here if you have Dodge, Flying or other abilities that normally cause attacks to miss they will not be useful because with Aim True the attacks of all units will not miss and will hit their targets.

So instead of focusing on Miss or Flying abilities it is important to understand that the target attack will not miss and you should make your plan accordingly.

MONSTER SELECTION STRATEGY ACCORDING TO THE RULESETS

Keeping these three rulesets in mind I selected my Archon monster with the +1 Health ability. Because of this at the beginning of the battle all units will receive +1 Health.

After that from my front line to mid line I selected all melee units and the main reason for this was that under True Strike, melee attackers were given more preference.

So in the front line I selected a strong tank monster with heavy melee strike power.

In the second position I selected a melee unit with the Reach ability so that it could continue attacking while staying in the second position.

And in the third position again I selected a strong tank monster that also had the Healing ability.

And what plan did I make?

If at the beginning of the battle my two front line units were destroyed then my third unit which was the healer would handle the battle.

And exactly that happened.

From the back position in the back line position I selected a mixed combination of ranged and magic attackers because I did not have many options for magic attackers so I focused more on ranged attackers although I was also receiving quite a lot of Return Fire damage from these attacks.

IN THE BATTLEFIELD

When I looked at the battlefield the enemy team's monsters were also extremely dangerous and they had also made a strong selection.

In Round 2 the battle continued very strongly and in a balanced way until I eliminated one of the enemy team's monsters which they had selected as a secondary tank.

But in Round 3 the game completely turned around.

The enemy units destroyed both of my front line tanks which made my team quite weak.

But what happened in Round 4?

The same healer monster that I had selected according to my strategy and plan handled the battle.

Because of its continuous healing it survived in this battle for a long time. Whatever damage came my healer monster continued to absorb it and from behind my combination of magic and ranged attackers continued attacking.

Because of this I got an excellent win in this battle.

And in Round 6, the final round you can see that the battle was reduced to one versus three.

In this way I eliminated all the monsters of the enemy team and got a fantastic victory in this battle.

In this battle I would call my favorite monster the mid line healer monster because of its determination and its ability to survive for a long time in the battle which helped me get a good victory.
