Why Do Same Splinterlands Monster Cards Have Different Prices? Vicious Giraffe Price Ranges from 2 Cents to $55?

You may noted that in the Splinterlands market there are some monster cards of the same type are listed at very different prices. Yes that is absolutely true. If you open the market and select any monster you will see different prices for each level.
At Level 1 you may get it for just a few cents but the maximum level card can cost a lot more like $50, $80 or even $100. What is the reason for this?? In todays post we will discuss exactly all these.
As an example I selected the monster card Vicious Giraffe and we will talk about how much it costs at the minimum level and how much at the maximum level.
Remember that the price of any monster card depends on its level and CC. In simple words if the monster card is upgraded it will naturally be sold at a much higher price. But if the same monster card is at its initial level it will be available at a much cheaper price. Its stats and abilities also depend on its upgrade level.

At the starting level the monster card only has its basic stats and abilities but as soon as you upgrade it you will see improvements in both its stats and abilities.
I have shared three different prices of the same monster card with you. As you can see Vicious Giraffe has three different prices
- One is available for only 2 cents
- The second is available for 46 cents
- The third is available for 55 dollars

There is a huge difference in these prices. "
The first monster card is according to Level 1
The second is according to Level 3
The third is according to Level 10.
Now what is the difference between these three??? Obviously the main difference is in the price but also in their stats and abilities.
If you own both cards and select the first card in battle it may not help you much in winning. But if you select the upgraded card in battle your chances of winning become much higher.
At level 1, Its
Armor is 1 which helps protect its health
Health is 4
Speed is 4
Melee attack is 1
Now if we look at it at Level 10 there is a huge difference in its abilities and stats.
The mana cost remains the same because it never changes, but:
Armor increases from 1 to 2
Health increases from 5 to 8 making it much stronger
Speed increases from 2 to 6 meaning it can attack enemies much faster
Melee attack increases by +1 and becomes 2
These are just the basic stats.
Now lets talk about its special powers at Level 10.
At Level 10 it gains four special abilities such as
- Reach
- Painforge
- Shatter
- Shield Ward

What do these abilities do?
Reach
Can use melee attacks from the second position.
Painforge
Gains +1 power when damaged by poison, burning or when hit by an ally.
Shatter
Successful attacks destroy the targets armor completely. It can easily break enemy units armor.
Shield Ward
At the start of battle the unit in front of this monster gains Shield.
These four special powers make this monster card extremely strong and that is the main reason why its price becomes much higher.
