🎙️ AMA Recap: Birthday Energy, Big Questions, and What’s Next for Pixels
Today’s AMA was packed with celebration and serious discussion. Heidi hosted a massive energy party on her birthday map, complete with her own signature pink energy. She also participated live in Heidi’s Birthday Bake quest, which remains active until Friday, and spent time hanging out with the community.
During the session, Heidi visited several community lands including 1171, 3752, 850, and 951, while Luke answered in depth questions about the future of Pixels and Stacked.

Key Questions from the AMA
What is the role of the PIXEL token in Stacked? Why is it needed?
PIXEL will continue as a reward currency in Stacked for a limited time. Over time, it will transition into a stake only token. Long term staking rewards are expected to shift toward USDC or USDT and will be tied directly to game performance.
With Lootrush shutting down, could land rental be integrated into Pixels?
While possible, the current focus is on exploring a more open source code base, allowing broader community contribution and flexibility.
How should AI be used in Pixels?
Luke emphasized that a game is a work of art and an act of love. Pixels does not use AI generated art because it already works with talented artists.
However, AI could be useful in development, particularly if the front end becomes open source. AI tools can help contributors build apps and software more efficiently.
UGC submissions are not rejected for being AI generated specifically. They are only rejected if they fail to meet quality standards.
How will Stacked combat bots?
Stacked will rely on large scale data science and historical data from Pixels to identify suspicious behavior. Offers will be highly personalized and precisely targeted, making bot exploitation significantly harder.
How will Pixels onboard Web2 users more easily?
Improving onboarding is now a top priority. The team first focused on building a sustainable economic model. Now that the foundation is stronger, attention can shift toward growth and simplifying the experience for mainstream users.
Community Feedback and Honest Discussion
Some players expressed that the core product feels incomplete or lacks direction compared to Web2 crafting games.
Luke acknowledged that improvements are needed. Sustainability came first because building a fun game without a viable model is not enough. With the economic model performing well, the team can now dedicate more focus to features, progression, and overall game feel.
There were also discussions about long term progression, feature depth, and comparisons to traditional Web2 games. The key differentiator highlighted was earnings and ownership.
Pixels and Stacked combine gameplay with earning potential, which fundamentally changes player psychology and engagement. Not every player is motivated by earnings, but for many it adds an additional layer of value that Web2 games do not offer.
The State of Web3
The broader Web3 and crypto space is currently facing challenges. Luke acknowledged that it is not the easiest environment to operate in. However, he reaffirmed strong belief in the Pixels ecosystem, its technology, and its long term potential.
Today’s AMA blended celebration with transparency. From birthday energy parties to deep economic discussions, the message was clear: the model is stabilizing, growth is the next focus, and the ecosystem is continuing to evolve.
