Today, I will be presenting a battle to you guys that is sure to capture the minds of the strategists out there. This one is also a notable battle hence I am putting it out there among the other amazing battles shared by the community.

Without further ado, let's begin.

Battle Conditions

The mana cap is 36 and there are 5 summoners to choose from: Water, Nature, Life, Death, and Dragon.
With a huge mana cap, a well enough deck of Life or Water will guarantee victory. However, I chose Death summoner since I love this summoner's abilities.

Battle Rules:

  • Explosive Weaponry: All monsters have the blast ability.

Battle Details

Let's start from my side:

Summoner: Thaddius Brood(Ability: Decrease in HP and Magic damage for all enemy monsters).

Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns).

Melee Attackers: Arachn Thug(Ability: Reach), Silent Sha-vi(Ability: Sneak).

Ranged Attackers: Daigendark Hunter(Ability: Sneak), Dhampir Stalker(Ability: True Strike), Weirding Warrior(Ability: Shatter).

My strategy was to attack him from all sides. I chose 2 sneak attackers that would attack from the enemy's back and cause a good blast damage. I chose 4 attackers that would damage from the front and consequently damage the monster behind the enemy tank. I chose Weirding Warrior as it has the shatter ability; I anticipated the enemy to use a monster with a high shield and that way any monster would lose their standing from the frontline.

The overall damage per round is 15. Adding in the damage from the blast and thorns, it totals to 27 per round.

Now for the opposition's turn:

Summoner: Helios Matriarch(Ability: Speed).

Tank: Iziar(Ability: Taunt, Void).

Non-attacker: Pelacor Conjurer(Ability: Flying).

Ranged Attacker: Berix Snakeye(Ability: Weapon Training, Void Armour).
Magic Attacker: Captain Kartie(Ability: Snipe, Bloodlust).

His strategy was to let his tank do all the tanking and his non-attacker would take in all the damage from potential blast damage. He kept his ranged attacker in the middle, making it a controller from the back, and in the end, he kept his bloodthirsty monster. That way, if it gets even one kill, its stats would increase indefinitely until it gets exposed to the frontlines.

His overall damage per round is 8. Adding in the damage from the weapon training, to the non-attacker and the consequential blast damage, it comes to a total of 18. Adding in the ability of Katie, the overall damage and HP would increase indefinitely/until all my monsters die.

Major Events

Round 1

Screenshot (219).png

His Captain targets my Hunter, the one weak spot that connects him to my other monsters with low HP.

Screenshot (220).png

His Pelacor dies as he wanted, due to blast damage.

Screenshot (221).png

His tank was the second to kick the bucket and thus it falls to a 6 v 2 in the first round.

Round 2

Screenshot (222).png

His bloodthirsty monster takes the L at the beginning of the second round. His ranged attacker comes up to the tank's position and hence it gets taken out within the second round.

Results

His strategy was deadly, he would've overthrown mine if only his tank held on a bit longer. Then, his bloodthirsty monster would trigger bloodlust twice as it primarily targeted my Hunter and damaged it to its last 2 HP thus increasing its overall stats, and further demolishing my monsters from the middle of the deck.

I never got into this game but I am glad so many other people are enjoying it. I think I got the minimum buyin years ago and then played a few rounds, realized I sucked at it, then quit! haha

It's only natural that we won't understand any complex matter within minutes. It took some time for me to know how to set up a deck and the thing wit monsters. You may give it a whirl, you wont be dissapointed.
