Hello guys, I hope you all are doing well.

After a whole week of festivity, I've returned to present a battle that will awaken many creative juices. This one is a recent battle(I got it yesterday). This features a ruleset that is most likely uncommon in the Bronze leagues.

Without further ado, let's begin.

Battle Conditions

The mana cap is 31 and there are 4 summoners to choose from: Nature, Life, Death, and Dragon. A good mana cap for a great Life or Nature deck. But, I chose the Death summoner.

Batte Rules:

  • Fab Four: Up to four units can be used.

Battle Details

Let's start from my side:

Summoner: Thaddius Brood(Level 5)(Ability: Decrease in HP and Magic damage by 1 for all enemy monsters)

Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns).

Melee Attackers: Arachne Thug(Ability: Reach, Trample), Silent Sha-vi(Ability: Sneak, Cripple).
Magic Damage: Helheim Demon(Ability: Flying, Taunt).

My strategy was to suck in all the damage to the Demon while my tank and other units would be free of damage and attack for a prolonged time. Now, my tank's level was 5 so it could self-heal. My Arachne Thug would attack from the front and could trample a monster if it gets a kill all while the Sha-vi would do damage from the back.

The overall damage is 11. Adding in the damage from the Thorns ability it comes to 13 damage per round and a healing of 3.

Now, the opposition's:

Summoner: Obsidian(Ability: Increase in magic damage to all ally monsters by 1).

Tank: Grund(Ability: Double Strike).

Magic attackers: Goblin Psychic(Ability: Tank Heal), Queen Mycelia(Ability: Protect), Regal Peryton(Ability: Flying).

His strategy was to inflict a barrage from the front, to attack my tank. He had a tank that would strike twice, and a healer(Goblin) to back him up and do significant damage itself. A guardian who would provide a shield(Queen) to everyone, and he kept his Peryton at the end to ward off any attacker that would try and sneak attack from the back.

His overall damage per round was 13 and a healing of 3 per round.

Major Events

Round 1

Screenshot (80).png

His overall damage decreased thanks to my summoner's debuff. Later, his tank almost bit the dust as it got hit with the thorns twice.

Round 2

Screenshot (84).png

His tank was the first to fall making it a 3 v 4 with me on the top.

Round 3

Screenshot (85).png

The first time my Sha-vi* missed its marks was when I realized that this match might take longer but I looked a little further and saw that the total HP in my deck and his was vast.

Next, his Goblin fell making it a 2 v 4.

Round 4

And finally, my first monster fell. It was the Demon making it a 3 v 2 while my tank continued to self-heal itself back to max.

Right after, my Sha-vi put an end to his Pegasus making it a 3 v 1.

And finally, my Thug reduced the Queen to ashes.

Results

What amazed me at the start of the battle was that somehow my monsters and summoner had a level beyond the level cap the bronze leagues have. Maybe it is because I made it to the Silver Leagues last season and the game is allowing me to use higher lever monsters here...?
Since my tank was higher leveled, it can self-heal. That means that I covered more mana than him as he needed a separate monster (Goblin's ability) to heal his tank.
