Monsters Going Dark x Splinterlands
Hello splinter people, I hope you are doing good in this fine day.

These days, there is much more sadness than happiness around most of us. The Turkey situation is a real disaster that many wouldn’t bat an eye and apart from the sad reality around us …we are pretty good 😊.
Let’s take a small break from all the rush and frustration of the world by delving into the game that “would” put a smile on your face.
This episode is an eye opener for some newbies out there who doesn’t yet know how to manage your mana when the mana cap is at its bare minimum. This episode features a battle with the mana cap of 12, a battle between Light and Darkness, and this time I enforced the grim!
Below is the major parts of the battle and at the end of the post is the battle’s link.
Battle

First of all, when choosing a faction we need to take a look at the monsters that you would want to battle with. Then, formulate a battle strategy with those cards and add their support cards.
Now, it doesn’t matter if the battle is lost when you face a faction with traits that enhances their abilities by a lot of decreases yours. This only makes your level of strategy to work. And, I could’ve gone for the Tarsa or the factions with nature affinities but I chose the Thaddius Brood because I knew what I wanted and where I wanted, with the support that Windeku needs.
About the battle
My Team
The tank was the unmistakable Cursed Windeku, then the Carrion Shade, and lastly, the Slime ball.
Reason:
- The Windeku can take a hit and do a counter when attacked, making it a good tank under low mana cap.
- the Carrion shade and Slime ball were taken to fill in the gap of the remaining mana. I wanted to have a monster that would do melee damage instead of magic because chances are, the enemy tank might have the ability to negate/reduce the magic damage.
Opposing team:
The tank was the deadly Tenyii Striker, then the Serpentine Spy.
Good cards the guy chose but his strategy was all over the place.
Round 1 - Measure

The traits were introduced and the enemy cards still had a buff on their melee damage. The addition of the HP didn’t do much for him.

The first hit was delivered by the Windeku, this little manoeuvre got me in the sweet spot.

The Serpentine Spy went next and deleted my Slime ball… sounds wrong 😑 but ok ✅ . The Tenyii Striker charges the dark cactus and gets pricked.
Round 2 - Finished

The revenge strike from the “dark cactus” eliminates the Striker and that leaves the Serpentine Spy who would try to do some damage.

The Spy attacked the bull and got charged with the horns. The monster had only 1 HP and that ends the battle.
Now, placing the striker at the end of his deck could’ve significantly increased his chances of win as the Striker is programmed(has the ability) to hit the opponent’s monsters in the last of the deck.
