The Best Rules To Go Against ANY Summoner | Splinterlands x Social Media Challenge
Hello Splinter-cells! I hope you are doing well in life and gaming.

Wouldn’t you agree that going against up against any summoner is much more entertaining when the battle masters decide to make the playing field levelled? The only way, when that happens, to win would be through sheer strategy and the abilities that your summoner brings to the table. A true one-on-one showdown and the only twists would determine on the monsters that one picks.
Today’s battle is based on one such battle. Below is the battle conditions, battle details, and major events. At the end of the post is the battle link.

The mana cap is 36 and there are 3 summoners available: Fire, Death, and Dragon. I went with the Death Summoner, Thaddius Brood. It has a good debuff on HP and Magic attack on all enemy monsters by 1.
The best thing about this battle: there are NO rules. The rules would be what the chosen monsters would bring out.

My Team
Tank: Thaddius Brood(Ability: Thorns).
Melee Attackers: Arachne Thug(Ability: Reach), Undead Badger(Ability: Sneak), Silent Sha-vi(Ability: Sneak).
Magic Casters: Ancient Lich(Ability: Life Leech).
Ranged Attackers: Ravenhood Warden(Ability: Protect).
My strategy was simple. To keep the most important monster, the magic unit, intact. The tank and the monster right behind it would sustain frontal attacks while the monsters in the back would hold off attacks from the back. I keep the Silent Sha-vi in the back as it has the most HP than the others. This way, my Lich has the highest chance of donning the tank position(should I the monsters in front fall) with a high HP. Adding in the Ravenhood, every monster gains shield which further helps sustain damage.
So, each turn I would inflict 9 damage from melee attackers with 2 thorn damage, 3 damage from magic, and 1 damage from ranged attackers. Hence, an overall damage of 15 per round.

Opposition Team
Tank: Living Lava(Ability: Shield).
Melee Attackers: Uraeus(Ability: Sneak), Tenyii Striker(Ability: Sneak).
Blocked attackers: Disintegrator(Ability: Demoralize).
Magic Attackers: Djinn Apprentice(No Ability).
Ranged Attackers: Fire Elemental(Ability: Blast).
His deck build was good, honestly. His Disintegrator would reduce a lot of melee damage while his tank would receive a further reduced damage thanks to its ability. His melee attackers would hit my monsters in the back while his ranged attacker would have a blast damage on the monster behind the my tank. So, his influence spreads over to almost all of my monsters.
But, his damage per round is 7 melee damage, 2 magic damage, and 2 ranged damage with a blast damage of 1. In addition with his Summoner ability, an increase in 3 melee damage. So, an overall of 15.
Who has an edge?
3 damage less than mine and one of my monster would have high HP with the damage. Given that his Disintegrator would fall until his tank falls, my overall attack was reduced by 3. So, a 15 to 12 and the balance was out the door.
Round 1

The battle starts off at 8th turn with Sha-vi with a swift attack on his Striker.

Living Lava had his HP siphoned by my Lich and his Shield was stripped off by the thorns.
My Cursed Windeku and Ravenhood couldn’t damage the Living lava at all, so there was a deficit in damage by 2 on my side. His Djinn apprentice got its magic damage reduced by 1 so an overall deficit in damage by 1 on my side.
Round 2

The round starts off with my Sha-vi attacking his Striker. Then, his ranged attacker got it’s attack to land and got a sweet blast damage.

3rd turn and my Undead Badger landed the final blow on the Striker. It was down to a 6 v 5. The Arachne thug does a damage on the Living Lava.

And finally, the journey of the Lava came to an end as my Lich siphoned the an HP off it and the Uraeus finishes off my Sha-vi. And lastly, the Disintegrator gets a good hit and eliminates my Cursed Windeku and gets the thorns.
As it turns into a 4 v 4.
Round 3

The round starts off with the Fire Elemental this time as it throws his attack and this time it hit again and gets the blast damage.

Then, the Badger stepped up, leaving an HP on the Fire Elemental. This proved that the next round, his blast damage is going out of business.

The Lich got it’s HP off of the Disintegrator and finally, the Disintegrator got his attack on the Arachne Thug.
Round 4

The 4th round starts off the the Fire Elemental getting it’s way with my monsters.

Finally it gets taken out by my Badger making it a 4 v 3.

And in the next turn, his Disintegrator gets burned by the Arachne Thug and releasing the melee damage hold on my monsters. Turning it into a 4 v 2.

In the end, my Lich siphones off the HP off of the Djinn. A sweet 4 v 1 now.
Round 5

And finally, the Arachne Thug finishes off the last monster with style.

The battle started off with a huge gap in the damage department with him on top. There is a huge thing to do with monsters with high speed, they literally change the course of the game like this one. My monsters had the highest speed hence they attacked first and got to eliminate the monsters on the other side even though my monsters had a decrease in melee damage and some attacks being negated thanks to his tank’s ability. But, the thorns and HP siphon proved to be too much against his Lava, the disintegrator and other melee attackers.
