Weekly Battle Challenge: Giant Roc

The Giant Roc is one of the only Beta cards that I own. This is because of the benefit of reach and flying in the second position to boost the Fire element deck.

The Strategy
It was a Silver League, 99 Mana battle with Weak Magic and Broken Arrows. Weak magic damage and no ranged damaged was already pushing me towards a Melee focused line up and I could already see the benefit of the new Chaos Legion Fire summoner.

The Result
Demoralise from the Disintegrator coupled with the triple sneak from the middle pack allowed my team to tear through my opponent’s backline with relative ease and little requirement for the tanks in first and second position. From there, it was just clean up duty for what remained.
Giant Roc is situational, second position card that valuable due to decent hitpoints and flying. It isn't strong enough to be employed as a first position tank but is a powerful card when played in the right decks. The use of reach is enhanced by trample in higher tier battles.
