Weekly Battle Challenge: Lava Spider

Abilities: Snipe at Level 1, Snare at Level 6, Poison at Level 10.

The Lava Spider has that spicy little ranged snipe whilst boasting decent speed and health to make it quite troublesome from the backline. I personally like employing it to target the weaker backline of enemy teams.

The Strategy

It was a Silver League, 24 Mana battle with Close Range. I was initially leaning towards Pyre to take advantage of some higher speed monsters but my team composition came in at 23 mana. I opted for the Tarsa to then boost the health of the team as a whole.

Position 3	Scorch Fiend	1	Legendary Fire Chicken to take a hit before the rest of the team does.
Position 4	Tenyii Striker	4	A very strong card with decent damage, sneak, dodge and high hitpoints
Position 5	Lava Spider	5	Our star of the week with Snipe and decent damage to take out the enemy backline.
Position 6	Furious Chicken	1	A zero mana cost to tank a hit for the backline monsters.

The Result

The battle started with our Lava Spider taking out the opposing, Chaos Agent. Our Tenyii Stiker then took out the enemy, Radiated Scorcher in a swift blow. The enemy Serpentine Spy then destroyed our Scorch Fiend, whilst their Tenyii Striker slew our Furious Chicken. Our Living Lava held the front line.

Round 2 saw our Lava Spider taking out their valuable support, Scavo Hireling. Lava Spider was then succumbed to a double attack from their Tenyii Striker and Serpentine Spy.

Round 3 saw the slaughter of their Tenyii Striker by ours and their tank, Living Lava destroyed. It was all over for the enemy team not long after that.

Lava Spider is a good monster to target their backline if they have a particular strong tank or useful supports.
