Earning from SPS Node License Holding

Its been more than 3 months since I bought my first-ever SPS validator node license. There are multiple assets in the game but this one is quite expensive and I have invested a good amount to own one license. I think it's been almost 6 months since the presale but initially, I was not interested since I had no idea how it works but later on I got to know the use case and benefits. I decided to buy one license when there was hype post the launch of rift-watchers packs and all the licenses were sold out on the same day. I was keeping a closed track to see if there is a decrease in the price but unfortunately, that never happened.

License is a long-term investment

Sometimes we look for something and expect to get it for a lower price but it's not that always happens so this was the same scenario. I took some time to invest in the node license and finally I bought one for myself. It is also because this is an expensive asset in the game and the price I have paid it's surely not a small amount. I paid approx 4000 hive worth 2000 US dollars as per the market price at that time. Maybe this amount does not matter to many people but funny this is a big amount and I did it after a lot of research and study. This is not the only asset that I am holding in the game instead there are multiple assets that I own and will continue to grow the holding over a period of time.

Reward with Licence holding

Holding one license is rewarding which means the day you transfer the asset or by the license in-game account then you are eligible to receive a daily reward for SPS and vouchers. When I started that time I used to get 22 SPS along with four vouchers in a day. This reward keeps on reducing with each passing day and now I am getting about 21.09 SPS and almost 4 vouchers in a day. The reduction is very minimal so I think it is not going to make a big impact but yes it is on and it will surely reduce the reward with the passing of time. I think this is a way to control inflation and reduce rewards to add more value to the token economy. I am happy to get whatever reward I am getting in a day however if you go with the value in terms of USD then it is low these days. Earlier this reward was almost $100 in a month but now because the price for SPS has fallen a lot so this is approximately 35 to 40 dollars in a month. I agree that the reward value has dropped a lot but if he looks at the broader picture then I don't think there is hardly any change because I am getting the same quantity every day. My thought process is to accumulate the assets for the long term and this is why I am not worried about the current price which is low.

I am planning to buy another license but these days I am running short of funds which is why it is not possible for me to buy now but still this plan remains active for me. Crypto is down and because of days buying another license is not going to be an easy decision for me. Currently, one license cost will be approximately 1200 US dollars and this is quite low compared to what I have paid to buy one but this is the market and we never know how things will be unfolded later. Whoever wants to buy a license can go for it now because I think this is a good time to bag as many as you can since the price is low. this is not a piece of financial advice and I am sharing it based on my experience and understanding however if you are going to buy then please do your own research and study it.

Overall I am happy with my decision of buying one license and later on whenever I will have enough funds with me then will think of buying another one. It's difficult to predict how things will be incoming months but fun now it is good and if the price drops further because of the market impact then hopefully it will be easy for me to buy sooner than I plan.
