Exploring the Depths of Lands on Splinterlands

Lands on splinterlands are the newly added part of the game. As of now, we have land 1.5 and land 2.0 will also come later but there is no announcement for that. Land is not just a gaming part of the game and its much more and there is a lot that we can do. We do farming for grains, SPS or Research. It is up to us what component we want to farm on our plots and even 100% utilisation of the plot requires a lot of resources.

I have two plots and I recently set up both plots on farming through the production option provided in the game. One plot I put for the grain farming and another one for SPS however most resources are used on the grain farming and for the SPS one it is still not properly utilised. Whatever Dec token I had used in one plot and this is why I say that the resource requirement is quite high and my available resources are not enough to utilise the plot at the best use case.

My Plots

Here are the two plots that I own in the game one is Hill another is Mountain. Both are on farming as you can see the work site is grain form and shard mine. The one that is deployed for the grain farm is forming the grain and another one is forming the SPS token which is known to be a governance token of the game and the more we have is always good.

This hill plot is used for grain farming and per hour it can generate 353 grains.

This is an overall view for one plot that is farming for grain and its efficiency is 100% used but worksite capacity is used only 41%

As I said I have already used all my DEC tokens and whatever resources I had and now I am not able to grow it further and for that, I will need to invest some more fun on land. I never thought the requirement for the land was going to be so high and there would be a lot of resources that would be needed to put a plot at work with the required efficiency and proper utilisation of the work site capacity. I had more than 200K DEC and I thought that this balance was pretty good but I was wrong because all this went in just one plot and the second has got very few amount of DEC which is not very effective.

Harvest

This is the claim that is available for harvest and with each claim, there is a cost.

This is another plot that is forming SPS token but I know that it is not properly utilised and in the last few days it has accumulated 41 SPS but to claim this amount I will have to spend more than 8000 grain which value is almost $8. Now I have a thought in mind to pay some more attention to the land and try building different components and adding more resources for the better utilisation of the plot. This process is going to take some time because I will have to invest some money in different resources that will be part of the plot but it's fine because at least one plot is generating a good amount of grains every day however I will see if there is a possibility to increase it further and where I should work on to optimise the utilisation of at least one plot.

Before the launch of land, I got to see some of the posts in which people shared that there is not enough DEC for everyone after the launch of land and now it seems that it is true because the shortage of assets is seen and many people might be struggling that they do not have enough resources to be used for the land farming. The majority of cards are used as workers on lands and since I had mostly cards with 1 quantity which is already part of the plot I need to buy more cards. Rented cards cannot be used on the land and this is why the demand for the old edition card is high in the market I think it is a good move by the game because now the value for these prior additions will also be good in the market. This is the reason why they have also launched another edition called Rebellion edition which is only for the players in the game.

I have quite a good collection of the card which is good enough for the gameplay but now I will be trying to spend some time on the land and we'll see how I can optimise it better. I want to mention here that land is one of the biggest parts of the game that will require more resources as well as a proper strategy to make the most out of this production. I also need to learn a few tips and tricks because it is new for me and I am going to try it. Let's see how it goes because now I'm going to spend more time on this part whereas the gameplay is going as usual but Rebellion is still a new addition which I am trying to get familiar with.
