Exploring the Role of SPS Governance Token in Splinterlands

SPS aka Splintershards is a governance token of splinterlands game. Usually the governance tokens are more valuable than the regular tokens because of the governance part. Token can have different utility in the project and sps has got good usecase in the game. Since it's a governance token hence with our sps stake we have voice. Governance is an important part of any project and with our stake we can vote to support or reject any proposal that is either submitted by team or even community. With splinterlands anyone can submit the proposal for any change or implementation provided it is meeting the required criteria but it will be passed only if it gets the minimum community support required.

SPS in game

Holding more SPS means we can unlock the higher multiplier in the game and there is a slab. I am trying to have about 200k SPS and this will enable me to play in the diamond league with the higher multiplier which is 12x. 12x is the highest reward multiplier in the game and with different league the requirements for sps is different. I was able to play in champion for sometime unless the collection power was not introduced but with that change I was able to play in diamond however now with SPS requirement it is good if I play in the gold because that is where I get the higher reward multiplier. I want to play in diamond league every season but if I want to do that with the 12 x multiply then I need to have at least 160k sps. All though I can play in this diamond league even now but my reward will be reduced because I do not have the enough SPS holding that can enable that option for me. It's like I am not eligible to get the 12 x reward multiplier if I play in the diamond league however in the gold league it is possible and I can get that.

SPS Price

The price for SPS token has gone up and last three weeks were good for the token value. The current price seems stable however you never know if it will grow further because the overall market sentiments are good and properly that can also trigger the price more. I expect that the price for SPS is going to be 4 cents soon. I don't know how it will be because I am not an expert however looking at the current market sentiment and the token chart it looks like that 4 cents size for the SPS is not far away. Remember that this is a same token that was available once for about $1 and it was also valued less than two cents for many months in the market. Undoubtedly the token is highly undervalued now but I expect that its price will not go easily to half a dollar but it is a possibility and that might happen in future. I am confident that one day SPS will be at $1 but I don't know how much time it will take however from the current price easily expect about 8 to 10x price appreciation.

Believe it or not but it is possible and it is just a matter of time. When the market is in bullish sentiment then it is the time you just can't predict everything based on some stats because even mean coin gets multifold then obviously the coin which is known SPS is backed by a solid project and has got significant utility in the project. In my opinion in the next bull run cycle the price for SPS can be expected around 30 to 40 cents which is about 10 x from the current price.

Although the price for SPS is increased nicely last few weeks but you serious still undervalued you would and if you are planning to go for the long term then it can be a good opportunity by even now but it's not a financial advice that I am sharing here. Even I will be buying the token but I am waiting for some correction in the price and what's that happens then I'll be buying some more experience which is going to be powered in my game account and that to for the long term approach..
