Planning to Buy GLS Validator License

I am trying to invest more in blockchain gaming and so far splinterlands is the only project in which I have invested a lot. Since the same team is working on another game called Genesis League Sports, I dont want to miss another opportunity. I have joined splinterlands in 2019 but the game was launched a few years back so I am not an early joiner I am glad that I still joined on time and it was not too late. Even now its not late but early joiners have got more benefits and I expect that the same is going to happen with the new game as well.

I have One SPS validator license

I purchased one SPS validator node license in splinterlands 6 months back however I was not able to buy it during the presale. I tried that time but I was not lucky enough to get the slot and I decided to buy it later. I was expecting that the price will reduce all over that did not happen and by the time I was ready with funds the other slab was sold out. Because I wanted to have at least one license so I purchase it from the market at a better price which was 4000 hive at that time. Now I know the price is less but that is ok because in the market we do not know how things will work.

Planning to buy GLS Validator License

The sale for the GLS node validator license is ongoing and currently, 743 licenses are remaining as I can see in the portal. The first 1000 licenses will cost 1000 GLUSD along with 500 GLGT Tokens. We also have the opportunity to earn daily rewards just by holding a license in-game account as we get with the SPS license. I have done some calculations on the Purchase as well as what rewards one can earn in the current scenario-

We need to pay approx 2685 HIVE as per the current market rate to buy 1 license and this value is approximately 1130 USD if we take $0.42 hive price.

Below is the calculation for the daily reward that we will earn for holding 1 license. We can earn approximately 7.74 HIVE daily and this will be a total of 232 hive in a month. Since we have paid 2685 hive for 1 license so we need 11.5 months approximately to cover the purchase amount.

Please note that this calculation is valid only if the the price remains same. If hive prices go high then the recovery reduces and vice-versa. Considering the current market situation I think that its a good idea to buy the GLS licenses and we can earn approx 90 USD per month. This amount is good and after one year the amount will be recovered but the license will remain with us unless we sell it off. I did this calculation for myself and thought of sharing if it can help others to decide if they also want to buy.

My Buying Strategy

I want to buy 1 license but as of now, I am running short of funds. I will try to arrange some funds and buy when I am able to manage the same. It sounds great when we can recover the funds in 1 year howeveer I think with SPS, people who purchased in pre-sale got the fund's recovery done in 6 months. If the price for GLX recovers then also this recovery would be faster so there multiple possible aspects that can make a bigger positive chnage. I hope in the next few weeks or months I should be able to own 1 GLS license and then I would a node license in both games. The value for this license is more or less as compared to the SPS license if see the hive-engine price.
