Rebellion and Chaos Legion Prices are low in TribalDex/Hive-Engine

All booster packs that we can buy from the shop on the game website are also available in 3rd party market which you can call hive-engine or Tribaldex. As of now, we can buy Riftwatchers and Rebellion packs from the official website and other than that any pack can only be purchased from the third-party market because the sale time is already over. Once the supply is exhausted on the game website then the sale option is closed which has been done for the Chaos Legion already which means we cannot buy this edition of packs from the game website anymore. Though these are not part of the shop anymore but we always have the option to buy these packs from the open market and sometimes you can also get better pricing in the market.

As of now, we have the presale ongoing for Rebellion with some promotional offers but at the same time we can also buy the pack from the high engine and that too at a low price. People are selling at low prices because they have got bonus packs which is why they are in the position to sell at low prices. Let's check out what are the prices available in the open market for these splinterlands booster packs.

Rebellion

Here is the market snapshot for Rebellion and you will be able to see that the price is less than $3 in the market. Its $2.96 to be precise and I am surprised how come people can sell the cards at such a low price. One can get 15% bonus packs on bulk buys and there is some additional benefit if DEC is used for buying because DEC is not in the soft peg range. I'm not sure at what price they have got the DEC token and even if I consider that this was purchased at a 20-30 30% discount then probably this can be a matching price available in Tribaldex.

If you buy the pack from the open market then you will not be getting any airdrop but you can get the pack at no price for sure however if you expect to be part of the airdrop then buying from the shop is recommended. There will be airdrop with each million of packs sale and sometimes we end up getting an expensive card as part of the ear drop so it is worth I believe but again this is something one can decide whether the player wants to be part of it or not.

Chaos Legion

Let's also check out the price for Chaos Legion packs in the market and surprisingly its not even $1. Its $0.88 in the market and the price trend is in a downtrend and we can expect more drop in value looking at the market pattern. This pack edition price was $4 and I purchased 600+ packs from the game website. In the past, I have seen that once the new edition is launched then the last one gets value appreciation and for example Untamed or Dice etc. This has changed with Chaos Legion and its value has dropped a lot.

Not sure when we can see the value appreciation for Chaos Legion packs and this pack is available for buy/sell only in the market as the sale ended a long time ago and even the airdrop cards were distributed already. This is certainly not the time to sell but is it the right time to buy? I can't say but you never know if in the game there is some good change then it can boost the price. It is hard to predict how things will be working in the market but one change can surely trigger the price and you never know when it is going to end. The price which you think can be a loss-making decision can also turn out to be a profitable decision but it certainly carries some amount of risk on the investment and if you think that is fair for you then the probability for profitability is higher. This is because the current price is already too low and I don't expect any bigger dip in the value anymore.

Now since we have the option to buy both the cards at the best prices possible in the market. You can decide whether you want to be part of the airdrop or not and if not then for sure going with the market is the better option. If someone is trying to buy now then I recommend buying from the shop because you will get additional benefits but later once the general sale starts the promotional benefits will be removed. One can get the benefit as part of the bonus if 100 or more packs are purchased along with the possibility of getting an airdrop in future if criteria are met. Now you have both options including the game shop or the open market to buy packs that you want and you know what benefits you are going to get from different places.

Thank you

Chaos legion packs are distributed as rewards. That could have created selling pressure.

It seems like the market is starting to get saturated. There is little buyer interest, so the price goes down, maybe that's my view

Pretty crazy how low the third market prices are.. as for the airdrops, I believe it's way different with this rebellion set so best be clear on that.

It's the holding of packs that counts for the ongoing airdrops of cards as the set is being sold. There's some mini game where you stake the packa and/or cards from Rebellion and those make you eligible for airdrops. Higher level cards give more points.

So by buying from Hive-engine instead of in-game you only miss the initial 2 promo cards but not the others (depending on what you do with the packs after buying but that goes for both options of purchase)

Also still sitting on a batch of Chaos packs, time will tell if that still gains value but the overprinting in peak bull might have killed that outlook. Buy and hold might have been a bad play there but the future will give the definitive answer here
