Road to 160k SPS Stake in Splinterlands

SPS is a very well-known token in the splinterlands ecosystem. Its a governance token of the game which means the token has certain additional benefits for the holders and gives them authority to become part of governance. Governance is another important part of any project because the SPS holder can support or reject any proposal and we have seen how this has been going for quite some time. Many projects are published with certain changes but not every project is supported by the community because the majority stake is required. If something good is introduced then for sure the community is going to support it and we have also seen in the past when some good proposals have been supported whereas some did not get enough support because they were not a good addition to the project.

I have been trying to accumulate spears and my goal is to have 200K SPS this year. While I am changing a bigger goal the immediate goal is to have 160K SPS which I am planning to have in the next few weeks. Currently, the price is low which I think is a good opportunity to accumulate more and even I feel there is an environment of fear for sps price and its future but I still believe that it is going to be valuable in the game. It may take some time which is obvious but I believe that in this bulletin cycle SPS price will be pretty good however I'm not quoting any specific amount because when I'm not sure what is it going to be surely I anticipate some good progress on the price.

Added 300+ SPS to the Stake

Every day I earn some SPS through my holding and in-game battles. I also buy SPS tokens from the market from time to time and these days I'm buying quite frequently because of the low price. Now I have over 300 tokens lying in my game account and just added the bunch to the stake because keeping them liquid is not at all a good idea. It's always a great idea to take the liquid tokens because it can start earning an APR over 14% which I think is still very good.

SPS Holding

This is my current SPS holding and it is almost 159K tokens as of now. Although I am short of some tokens to make it an exact 159K however I hope that I will be able to fill the gap in the next few days and also I am expecting to make it 160K within this month. This is my maximum target however I will be trying to make it happen by next week hopefully because planning to buy some more tokens from the market if the price remains in the same range. The current value of this holding is less than $3000 which is pretty low because a few weeks back it was almost $4000 hence I can say that value is dropping consistently.

Is this a matter to get worried about? I don't think so because it is part of the market and this is not the first time I have seen similar momentum with some token I believe in the token because I'm sure splinter lands will do well. Sometimes a few changes are not good and might not get support from the players but looks like people are getting familiar and they are sharing the feedback hence with all those changes I am expecting more value addition to the sps token in the long run. I will continue to follow the same strategy with SPS and with a bigger SPS stake, I am expecting a better in-game reward. Some changes are expected to happen soon in the game as updated by the founder and discard server but ultimately I am sure that SPS holders are going to get bigger rewards as the team has already indicated previously.

While the price for SPS is low the APR is kind of stable at this range which is 14%. I know that HBD is paying much more than this but that is a stable coin and holding spears in game account is a good option for players. Players can earn better rewards and even we have the option to lease out the SPS power that can also give some additional reward which can be approximately five percent however I'm not much sure about this percentage but certainly it is an additional benefit. I have not done any delegation for SPS because I use all my power for my game but if I don't play then it is one of the options that I can surely look for which can give me some additional reward for doing nothing.
