Splinterlands Battle Share - Cruel Sethropod

avatar

Hello Game Players,

The current season is ending in less than 1 day and excitement is on to see what will come as a season reward and its obvious because we all love getting rewarded. We play battles for 2 weeks to reach on this day when we can see what is unfolded as a season-end reward. I am a big-time player in splinterlands and there is hardly any day when I don't play and now, I am sharing one of the battles that I hope you will like. I have played more battles in the beginning of the season this time and unlocked diamond league for me and then I continue to play about 20 battles in a day and that is also a way to finish the daily quest. I am happy to share that I have now 1 million DEC and this stake is surely helping me earn more SPS but the price of DEC has fallen and it was expected because airdrop is coming closer to an end and because of this reason people started selling it seems. Even sps token price is very low these days so probably more people are not interested to hold DEC and that is why they are getting away with it which is normal but I am not going to sell instead I am staking all the SPT tokens that I earn through content creation.

In each battle, there are some tips and tricks that I follow to win and ultimately everyone wants to win more battles in the game. The current season is ending today and as per the latest update, I will be getting a reward as per the last season but since the last few seasons, I have been ending it in diamond 3 which is my highest as per the collection power. It's a good strategy to follow that play more in the initial days to unlock a higher league. I have finished my last quest for the season just now and here is the reward that I have received. The cards are not so good but I got 1 CL pack which is really great and I wish to get many more in the season-end reward. It's also planned that SPS will be part of the reward later and this will be announced by the team when planned.

This week the card name is Cruel Sethropod and it's a common water mons. It has no ability at any level and this is why it's so cheap. Its mana cost is only 1 and has 4 health. I have this card in level four with 1 BCX I think it's a card that can save other monsters in the team. Talking about upgrading, I think I can do it anytime but will see if it's really worth however the price is not so high. I can place a cheaper bid in peak monster later.

Card Information

So, let's check out the card for more detailed insight into the battle but before we move ahead let's go through the card details first and then more about the battle. I believe getting to know more about the card is important and this also helps us to plan battles better.

Card Name: Cruel Sethropod
Mana Cost: Three
Rarity: Legendary
Splinter: Water
Abilities: No abilities
Level: Three
Speed: One
Type: Melee
Edition: Chaos Legion

I have this card names Cruel Sethropod in level 3 in the gold foil version and I never thought that it can be a good idea to upgrade it. I can think of it later but as of now no for sure because I have many similar cards in my account and its better to invest in cards that can add some value. The reason why I am the least interested is that it has no ability even at the higher level so I don't find it a good option. I will prefer to upgrade it to the gold foil version because its price is low and with gold foil, I can earn more DEC.

My Battle Strategy and Cards Placement

I got 29 mana for the battle and it's nice because the battle theme was an equalizer and all my cards have got the same life which is good so I could pick all-powerful cards for battle. I have many powerful and nice cards in my earth collection so for any type of mana battle, I can play well. I picked Cruel Sethropod followed by the turtle and then I placed medusa, mermaid healer, coral wraith, and crustacean king at last. All these cards are nice and played well to make me win the battle.

This battle share post is for the monster called Cruel Sethropod and I have this card on level 3. I have not played much with this and I find it a better choice however it's a good one for low mana battles with water monsters. I placed the Cruel Sethropod in the first slow and I am impressed with the way it played so I will try to use it more and prefer to keep in front if the battle theme allows. The strategy I followed in the battle worked well to make me win the battle. Card placement is very important in the battle depending upon the theme and mix of abilities.

Direct Battle Link-

Here is the link to my battle so if the video does not work then also you can use the link to see the battle. This battle was so much fun and the opponent player played with the fire monster however my card selection and placement were so good that I had very less losses of cards and this is great.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

It's very important to plan a strategy for the battle and select of right cards to win the game. In this battle, whatever strategy I planned in placing and choosing the cards for the battle went well and I won the battle. I keep on trying different ways to use the card and whichever works in my favor, I repeat it else move to the next one.

Do you like the Cruel Sethropod? Why or why not?

I like the card and I prefer to have it in gold version. I would surely like to use this card in future battles wherever possible its a good card. I am not saying that its extraordinary but it certainly not something to ignore. It's a good one that I like to use with low mana and average mana battles with water monsters.
