SPS is my Long-term Bet in Splinterlands Game

When we talk about investment then there are two methods that we can follow and these are long-term or short-term. It depends on the assets we invest in and of course some planning behind you that how long we are ready to hold it. Sometimes even short term can bring better profitability on the investment but this is something that we cannot predict in advance however based on the fundamentals we can surely have a rough idea. This investment strategy is applicable across markets that can include the stock market as well as the cryptocurrency market. returns on never guaranteed in the market and depending upon the performance we sometimes end up earning more rewards in the long term or the short term which is completely market-driven and it is hard to predict.

Things are slightly different in the crypto market because here investment is done for the profits but down the line, there are multiple benefits provided to the holders. Here I am talking about the sps coin which is the governance coin for the splinterlands game. Investing for better profit in terms of pricing is the core part of the token but apart from this, multiple other benefits make it even more special.

SPS Price

I have been accumulating and investing on sps since the launch of it. I did the same even when the price was very high because I never thought that the price is going to be less than $0.02 but now this is a reality. I know that in the crypto market, things can go the other way around which we hardly expect but that's how this market work. I was expecting that if the price goes down then also it will not go beyond $0.25 but it went way down and the current price is unbelievable. It was looking good in the beginning in terms of pricing but I believe it was part of the free distribution for a long time within one year so a lot of people started booking profit. It is obvious that when more people sell the token in the market and there are fewer buyers then prices are going to be crashed and probably the same happened with SPS.

The current price as we can see on the above screenshot is slightly more than $0.02 and this has been increased post the change in the game where the sps requirement has been implemented for everyone who wants to avail of the rewards multiplier. However, there is some decline in the price because maybe some people are still trying to sell off and there are fewer buyers which can be a possible scenario. I am keeping my close attention to the price because I want to buy and once it is below $0.02 then I will be trying to buy a bunch of tokens because I believe this price is not suitable for me to jump into the market.

Why Long Term

As I said that I have been following the long-term strategy with this coin since the beginning and the reason is simple I know it is going to be much more valuable in the game. this is just a matter of time before we can see the price at this range but now there is a fact that we need to believe that there are not enough sps for everyone once everything is live in the game including the lands and other functionalities. Undoubtedly the land's implementation is going to be a bigger game changer in the game and this is the reason why all these components are going to be much more valuable but that might take some time. It's hard to predict the prices of now and what is it going to be in the next few months because things are in the build mode and once build then we can see the real impact in the market.

I have accumulated a total of 120K SPS as of now but I believe this is just the beginning I would love to have even bigger than this but that is going to take time and I have a plan for that. it takes time to build something bigger and I truly believe in this so with sps I follow the same strategy which is going to be big but time taking as well. it took me two years to reach the current milestone when I'm holding 120K SPS tokens but I believe it will not take another two years for me to double the count so I will be trying my best to grow it as much as possible.

Even now if we exclude the price variation then also we are getting some additional benefits including the descent APR and other tokens distributions including vouchers and GLX etc. If I get multiple benefits just by holding the token then I don't think there can be an even better option to go far and this is the reason why I do my best to build a bigger oldie because it is anyways going to help me in the game but on top of that these benefits are like cherry on the cake.
