Still Accumulating Voucher tokens in Splinterlands

Do you still remember the voucher token which is part of the splinterlands game and we can use the same to buy some promotional stuff. I hope many of you still remember however there has not been much action here from the last many months. It is one of the tokens that enables some additional discount for us when we buy during the promotional sale but its been a long time since we saw something that is available for buy and its valuable and can be made available for us if we use voucher tokens.

I have the SPS holding of more than 121K and one SPS node validator license so I earn vouchers from both every day. I know that it feels good when we earn something as part of the passive income as it does not require any effort from our side and the same is happening with the voucher token because I earn it for doing nothing, to be honest. I did not check the token price for the last many months so today is the day when I checked my balance and also the price in the market. The price is quite low and I did not expect it that much and even I'm not sure when will be the time this price will be at the better mark. Although I have a very good hold this is not the right time to do something because there has been no value and I will continue to hold till the time I see some proper use case in the game or a better value in the market. Here I'm also sharing the balance of the tokens that I hold in my game account.

My Voucher holding

Here is the snapshot of my token balance and as of now I hold over 1000 tokens in my game account and a few in the hive engine as well. I have used a lot of tokens in the past to convert for SPS but now since the price is low I believe it is not the right time. I also used a bigger chunk of the token when I purchased the Lux Vega card summoner and many other promotional cards. The token conversion against SPS was the better option and I'm ready to do it once I see better value in the market for the voucher because that way I will be getting a good amount of SPS. I expect that there should be some promotional offer for SPS holders like we have seen in the past and it was such a great opportunity to get something only for SPS holders. At that time it was the need for the sps holders to use only vouchers and if something comes like this then I should be able to do it a lot because I have enough of it.

Voucher Price

Below is the chart for vouchers and you will see that the price has been in the decline mode from May month onwards and at this stage from the last few weeks it looks stable. even trading volume in the last 24 hours is not much which is just around $260 and if you look at the order book you will see the mixed amount of orders that includes buy and sell.

As compared to the buy orders, there are more sell orders and because of this, the price is going down. I do not have a plan to buy the token at the moment but even I do not want to sell at this price if the price improves then I will try to convert some tokens to SPS because ultimately SPS is one of the important components in the game and having it more is always good since it brings a better bunch of benefits. as I already mentioned that it's been a long time I did not track the price but now I believe I should do so once I see the better pricing for the token in the market then I believe that would be the time for me when I can convert at least half of my holding to the sps and because sps will also bring an APR over 15% so it is going to be a better deal for me.

Anything is possible in the crypto market and if I talk about this token then there was a time when its value was more than 22 high and now it is not even 0.10 hive. this is how things change in the crypto market so it is important to make the right decision at the right time. Also, the utility is important for any coin. this token has been struggling with the proper utility and the use case and because of that reason, the price has gone drastically down. I don't see it growing significantly unless there is a proper use case of the token in the game ecosystem. I hope the splinterlands team pay attention to this token and brings a better use case that can result in a price increase for this because it will increase the demand overall.
