The Rebellions are on the way.. Presale on October 18th

Splinterland has announced its next booster-back edition, known as Rebellion, and the presale is due on the 18th of October 2023. Previous booster editions including the Chaos Legion and Rift Watchers are the ones but as of now we can buy only Riftwatchers in the shop and since this is also burning every day and the supply is going to end. Because of the ongoing burn, the airdrops are coming faster and this is the reason why the supply for rift\watchers will be ending shortly. I hold booster packs from both editions and it is part of my long-term strategy in the game. I was not able to accumulate a good number of packs from untamed or dice editions so I did with Chaos Legion and riftwatchers.

As of now, I have not decided how many packs I will be buying from the Rebellion edition. I will be buying the pack from this edition but I doubt that I may not be able to make it during the pre-sale so we will see how I can make it later. Those who will buy during the pre-sale are going to get some additional benefits because they are also going to get the special card which will not be part of any promotion later and such cards are also not part of the packs. Since I have taken part in the Chaos Legion Presale and I know how it works and it is worth participating in the presale because of some additional benefits.

Rebellion Packs and Presale

As mentioned the presale is scheduled to happen on the 18th of October which is just one week from now and 500K packs will be part of this pre-sale. As per the update, this pre-sale will continue for 30 days or the complete sale of packs whichever comes first. If you are planning to be part of the presale then it is the time and you have 1 week to plan things. The more packs you purchase will give you better benefits and the team has also stated that all the packs that you buy during the pre-sale will not be able to open unless the official release is done for the Rebellion edition. It is obvious because if people can open the packs then those who bypassed will be able to see what cards are available in the pack and it is a good strategy that always happens as I have seen in the past. Every pack will contain at least one rear card out of five cards which is good because this way you will end up getting at least some value if no legendary is pulled out.

The presale is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 18th, at 2:00 PM ET / 18:00 UTC in the shop section of the Splinterlands website. The presale will continue for 30 days or until all 500,000 presale packs are sold out, whichever comes first

Presale Promo Cards

There will be two promotional cards for the people who participate in pre-sale. As per the update shared by the team and it is that if you buy 10 booster packs from the Rebellion edition then you are going to get one promo card and it will be Grimbardun Smith which is a neural card but its rare. The cost of one pack is $5 but if you go with DEC then 5000 Dec tokens will cost somewhere around 3.1 dollars as per the current market price. If you buy with credit then you will have to pay the exact five dollars so it is worth paying through DEC and I expect because of this there can be some price spike for DEC because many people must be buying the token.

If I will be buying the pack then I'm going to prefer the D E C token as payment because this will be a better deal as of now I believe and if you see the below chart for the token in the market then certainly there is some spike. I will see how this price goes and we'll be trying to buy some because even if I buy 10 packs then also I'll be eligible for one promotional card which I think is going to be a good deal because it looks quite nice.

I participate in all the sales and the reason why I do is because I believe holding more digital assets in the game account is going to make my account much more valuable. I will see if this is possible for me It's good that the sale will continue for 30 days so if it does not sell out like happened in the past then I will have the opportunity to buy it in the remaining thirty days. I don't know how it is going to happen but based on experience there has always been a fast selling for presale so I doubt that this time also see the same momentum by the community.
