Funtime Gone Wrong

It was a cold chilly morning. All mortals were indoors, close to their fireplaces. Alfredo wore his pullovers and decided however to pay a visit to his friends Max and Raymond. Their house was just a stone throw from the popular Mandillas, a supermarket.

On getting to their house, Alfredo saw his two friends playing the card game.

"Look at who we have here"!

"Alfredo yo"!!!

Max and Raymond dropped their cards on the table and extended their hands towards Alfredo for a warm handshake. Thereafter, Alfredo took a seat to watch them complete the game. After about five minutes of intensive manoeuvering Max jumped up in full excitement.

"Yeah, I've done it. I am the champion".

"Sit down man, I only allowed you to win so that you'll be happy", Raymond cuts in.

"It's not true dude, you know it was a tie and we were looking for who will break it and, like a pro, I did it".

"Ok guys, let me join you and play. Let's see who will win at the end of the day".

With that Alfredo joined the duo and the game began. Max was eliminated in less than three minutes, leaving only Raymond and Alfredo to slog it out.

In less than two minutes, Alfredo gently dropped his last card to signal that he has won.

"Wow, such a calculated play, man", said Max who appeared to be elated with the ease with which Alfredo won.

"Yeah, I know how to ball. That's the way we roll". Alfredo, who seemed to be enjoying the moment said, smacking his lips.

"Ok guys, this is an old card. We need to change it. New card is cool to play with", Alfredo said looking intently at his other two friends for their approval.

"We don't have the money man. We are good with this, yo!" Ray kept looking at Max for support as he said this. Max slowly nodded in affirmation.

"Well, I understand but we can still do something. Let's play the fast one on Mr. Jones in his supermarket. We can steal one and come back".

"What"!!! Both Ray and Max shouted in unison.

"Oh, ye men of little faith, watch me as I'll shoplift the card and come here". Who's with me?, Alfredo asked. Reluctantly, Max and Raymond joined him. In a matter of minutes the boys found themselves at the Mandillas.

Alfredo, being the gang leader entered first while the other two persons followed him. They all went to the confectionaries area, then to toys section and finally at the games arena. They saw many card games but they are very expensive. Alfredo watched left and right and when he was sure no one was looking, he smartly smuggled a pack of cards into his hooded shirt. It was time to go.

Max an Raymond were fitgetting but Alfredo urged them to remain calm so that they can get out easily from the mall without any detection.

But as they were about to step out of the exit door, Mr Jones rushed at them.

"Hey boy, how are you doing?" The three boys were startled. Max almost peed his pants.

Mr. Jones who was advancing menacingly towards the trio then continued, "well, you little brat, I saw you stealing from the counter. You can't get away with this this time around. Thanks to modern technology". And with that he went straight to Alfredo, held him in his waist and pulled out the stolen pack of cards from his hooded shirt.

Max and Raymond, who were well close to the exit door of the supermarket both fled like rats being chased after by a cat. Without looking aback they ran straight to their house and narrated the incident.

Meanwhile Mr Jones refused to release Alfredo from his stern clutches. He took him to his telephone and forced Alfredo to reel out his father's mobile phone number. Dazed with fear, Alfredo complied.

There and then Mr. Jones places a call to Alfredo's father over the ugly. Alfredo's father was shocked and immediately booked an appointment with Mr Jones to resolve the ugly but unfortunate situation.

Well done, @alovely088. In a very short space you developed a complete plot, with conflict introduction, crisis and resolution. We don't think Alfredo is as smooth as he thinks he is. His capture will serve as a good lesson to the other boys.

Thank you for sharing this with us, @alovely088
