Larry Is Alive February 04, 2024: I Am Alive Challenge

Hello everyone and warm welcome to my Larry hunt for sunday the 4th day of February, 2024. Gentlemen, Namibia is in a mourning mood right now. Their President just passed on. Our hearts are with the people of Namibia as they mourn the death of their 82yr old President Hage Geingob. Hage Geingob woukd have completed his second term in office by end of thr year as namibias are preparing for election by November. But death wouldn't allow that to happen.

On a brighter note, Manchester United recorded their biggest home win s they crushed WestHam United (3-0) at Old Trafford. Are we on for a jolly ride? To early for such a call, !LOL.

Arsenal on their own kept their title hopes alive with an emphatic (3-1) win against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium. And Chelsea suffered a shocking home defeat (2-4) at Stamford Bridge against Wolves.

Larry then veers off to have a look at today in #history.

Larry begins his look at today in history from the events of WWI. He finds out that on this day in 1945, during the closing phases of World War II, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin convened the Yalta Conference to prepare Nazi Germany's final defeat and occupation.

From the events of WWI, Larry goes to Kenya. He finds out that on this day in 2020, Daniel arap Moi, a Kenyan politician who served as President of Kenya for nearly 25 years, died at the age of 95 in Nairobi, Kenya.

From Kenya, Larry goes to England. He finds out that on this day in 2012, Florence Green, the British servicewoman and the last surviving veteran of World War I, died at the age of 110 at King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

From England, Larry goes to the world of tech companies. He finds out that on this day in 2004, Facebook was launched (as TheFacebook.com), and it would eventually become the world's largest social network.

From the world of tech companies, Larry goes to Yugoslavia. He finds out that on this day in 2003, Yugoslavia officially changed its name to Serbia and Montenegro.

Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in #history from the Ottoman Empire. He finds out that on this day in 1948, Ceylon (which is now Sri Lanka) gained her independence from Great Britain. Happy independence to them.

Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
