BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! | Odd Ones Out with Death Element Monsters

Good day to all my fellow Splinterlands players.

I wanted to share my entry for the Battle Mage Secrets featuring the rule Odd Ones Out.

Currently, I'm in the Bronze League with the goal of achieving the Silver League in a few battles where all the elemental monsters are available to use due to it's low cost on rentals at the moment. In this battle, I decided to focus on the dark element monsters because it is my focus chest quest at the moment.

RULESETS OF THE BATTLE

Ruleset of the battle

The given rulesets in the battle were Odd Ones Out where only odd mana costs monsters may be used in battles. Under the 36 mana capacity where all the remaining elements are available to use aside from the Fire element.

BATTLE LINEUP

  • For the summoner, I choose Crypt Mancer to give the opponents' monsters the disadvantage in the melee damage, speed, and health.
  • The fist position goes to my Bone Golem as the tank of my lineup with its high health advantage, and the ability to reduce the magic damage this monster is taking in half.
  • Second position is the Silent Shiva to sneak to the enemies last position monster.
  • Third position is the Ancient Lich with its Life Leech ability gaining additional health when its attacks hits and takes damage to the opposing monster. It is also a good reserve tank incase my first and second position monster will be eliminated.
  • Fourth in the lineup is the Sand Worm with its sneak ability to attack the last position monsters of the opponent.
  • Lastly is the Ureaus with its sneak ability also, and serves as the sacrificial monster incase the enemy monster has the sneak ability.

The battle lasted for 5 rounds. Placing the Ancient Lich in the third position was a good call on my part because my first and second position monsters were eliminated in the second and third round of the battle. Thanks to my monsters with sneak ability, the opponents last positioned monsters with high damage were eliminated in the first and second round of the battle leading me with an advantage in damage in the remaining rounds of the battle.

Battle rewards

With me winning the battle, I gained 19 rating points in the wild division, 72 RP, and 0.005 SPS. I would say it is a good reward for the Bronze League gameplay and a great experience especially with new cards that I've encountered during my plays.
