A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words: Party Time!
I see a teddy bear seated at a corner, three ice cream in containers and a small slice of cake with a fork by the side of it and we'll placed at the centre of the table. I feel that this is an inhouse party for kids.
The good days are here again
Sometimes it is good to remember them:
Sometimes the good days are honoured
Sometimes they are simply wished away
But today is special
But today calls for celebration
But today is meant to be cherished
But today is meant to be classy
The table is set
The teddy bear's awry looks
Welcomes you all
The favourites are there too
No time for long stories
The co-host is already seated
Patiently awaiting your arrival
And listens to the first footsteps on the door
The ice cream is chilled
The little cake is cripsy
The table is set
Who'll be my guests
The children came in
In droves and occupy their positions
All looking cheerful
And in a merriment mood
There is never a dull moment
The music is set
Let's rock and roll a little
Before we finally
Devour our cripsy bread
And chilled ice cream
Ah, what a lovely day
To celebrate 🥂 like a child
Come dance with me
And partake
In my little refreshments
I know you will
May God save us all
For today is a special day
That calls for celebration
Adios!!!
This is my entry for the #freewritehouse "A picture is worth a thousand words".
Indeed, let's celebrate before we forget how to do it and it's too late.
Thank you for sharing this poetry.
Yes, yes, yes. Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate.
