Finally, two days before the end of Vouchers distribution, I managed to collect and buy enough of them to buy 100 Chaos Legion packs. πŸ’ͺ

100 Chaos Legion Packs - Bought

For me, it was a journey for itself!
Although I have been staking all of my SPS from day one, at the time when Voucher distribution was announced, I figured out I wouldn't have enough of them till the end of the distribution period to buy 100 packs, which was my big wish.

Therefore, I had to figure out some other way to buy missing Vouchers. I was doing all sorts of calculations and recalculations, left and right, back and forth. Finally, I found a way that might work for me.

I stopped staking newly airdropped SPS and started to sell them on the market to be able to buy the Vouchers. At the same time, I should have taken care of keeping enough liquid SPS tokens to buy 100 packs.

110 Chaos Legion Packs

Today, at last, I managed to close that circle, even two days before the end of Vouchers distribution, and my 100 + 10 additional bonus packs of Chaos Legion are finally here! πŸ˜ƒ

I can't wait to be able to open them!

The Cost of Chaos Legion Packs in Pre-sale

Well, that's another pair of shoes. It turns out they were quite expensive, at least for me.

Keeping in mind that the purchase of the Chaos Legion packs during this pre-sale period is conditioned with Vouchers, without which is impossible to buy them, it's inevitable to enter the price/cost of the voucher in the equation.

At the time I'm writing this the price of Vouchers has risen up to $20 per Voucher, in total, meaning $2,000 for 100 Vouchers.
When I add to that the cost of each Chaos Legion pack ($4), for 100 of them there is an additional cost of $400.

Summing those unavoidable two costs conditioned for the pre-sale purchase, it's not some rocket science to calculate how 100 Chaos Legion packs, cost me $2,400 in total or $24 per pack, or to be perfectly precise $23.6 per pack because of 10% ($0.40) discount that I earned by paying the packs with SPS tokens.

Frankly speaking, as the SPS token price almost miraculously dropped down in the past week and as the end of voucher distribution was approaching closer, I don't feel that discount at all.

My expectations and calculations were based on assumption that the SPS token wouldn't drop below $0.65 or at most $0.60. But, as you may see from the screenshot above, at the time of my purchase the price of the SPS token was around $0.47.

In short, 100 Chaos Legion packs cost me between 100 and 150 SPS more than I initially calculated it would, and that's why I say that I don't feel that 10% discount.

On the brighter side, I received 10 additional bonus packs. Although, and even when I add that to the equation, it still turns out that at best each Chaos Legion pack cost me something around $22.20 which I find quite expensive.

Please, don't tell my husband that I invested that amount of money into some NFT packs, as you are not going to see me around soon after! 😜

All in all, I really do have big expectations from those special & limited Promo cards, exclusive for this pre-sale event, and I really expect to receive them in the amount that would, together with the high-quality cards (epic, legendary, and gold foil) in the packs themselves, justify this high-costly pre-sale adventure of mine!
