Where the path ends...

Once upon a time, I was a member here, but that was a long time ago. Life took me in a different direction, and, at the time, I felt as if I needed to abandon what I knew and seek out what I thought I needed. And anyone who felt that need can tell you more often than not that place does not exist in the physical world. It's not like I didn't know this on some level but often the best way to truly understand something is to experience it for yourself, if only to validate your own curiosity. Even after all that I had no idea I would end up back in the Hive community. I don't even know what subconscious thought prompted my fingers to search the sight again after all this time, but there in front of me was the PeakD sign-up page followed by @splinterlands. I signed up for Splinterland first debating if I really wanted to start blogging on Hive again, and after some back and forth I decided why not...after all I loved being a part of this community the first time around.

So far it’s been overwhelming. Everything feels much bigger and more involved than before, I feel lost in what used to be a familiar and comfortable place. I get it, things change and evolve and I’ll find my way eventually… I can recall a few names and faces from before @tarazkp stands out the most, I always enjoyed his writings. I also seem to remember a writing community I use to post on... I’m sure most of my old haunts will make themselves known to me in time.

On my user name...

I decided I wanted a new user name, to start completely fresh. I tried many many names, but all either didn't feel right or were already taken, I was frustrated, and I told my son I was trying to come up with a user name and Anakinobi just rolled on out as he knew it all along. It is a combination of Anakin (Darth Vader) and Obi-wai Kenobi from Star Wars movies.

What else…. Well I am a vegan, I dabble in art and drawing, and writing short stories. I read a lot and tend to use Buddhism/Taoism as a guide through life.

I don’t know if this will work out this time around, But I know the only way to find out is to go through...
