Intro

I am a bit behind, since my HivePower and Resource Credits are very low and got eaten up, but I am trying my best to build up a habit and spread the word about this great game!

Renting and grinding

October 9th was the great day, when I got my first double loot as daily rewards. But it didn't start with just unicorns and flowers, when I got my quest box:

I was already Silver League that day, but probably not long enough and was really disappointed when the reward was 2 credits again, because I thought that maybe I needed to get even higher than Silver III to get some decent rewards. The DEC rewards on the battles themselves were pretty good, even with my capture rate being pretty low after the first couple of battles.
In the beginning of my first silver rental day, I got 7-8 DEC per win, which was more than five times as much as I got before in Bronze II.
I haven’t been sure, if I could earn those DEC back, I invested into the rents, but I could. Starting with around 200 DEC at the beginning of that day, I got down to 140ish after rents, but since the rewards have been nice and my win rate was pretty decent I got those DEC into my bags.

Actually, I got my rental money back in under an hour – yes, I was only renting for that day, since I am still learning how everything works and made some not so good choice in buying and renting cards I haven’t used a lot. And also my ECR was already not so high anymore.

Before that renting day, I was happy if I got close to 30 DEC a day in Bronze II. And that was some hard grinding. Earning over 50 in less than an hour was really changing a lot for me. I knew, that I don’t want to stay in those Bronze Leagues anymore. If you want to help me out, I would be more than happy if you could help me with cheap rentals, tips on which cards to rent or even delegations or gifts.

As you can see, I continue to grind that day and was amazed by how many DEC I could earn in higher leagues. It was also really amazing to see, what a difference gold foil cards make in prize money. Also win rates. Since I don’t have any Alpha, Beta, Promo or Untaimed cards yet, I haven’t seen how these affect battles, but I think that at least Alpha cards also increase the multiplier on those DEC earnings.

Since it was such a big difference, I decided that I don’t want to go back to the lower Bronze leagues anymore. I think, that without the delegations and rental I do have the power for Bronze II or at least not a lot is missing anymore. But there is a long way to go, to get closer to stay in the Silver+ Leagues.
And it is so frustrating, especially when the Rating would bring you up to Gold III. I don’t think, I could stay there right now, especially since besides fire and water I don’t have an idea, what I am doing, or at least it feels that way most of the time.

That little devil was my biggest investment into the game so far and brings me half way to Bronze II.

Back to the rewards

I got DEC in my first season, when the prizes for bronze really haven’t been too bad, and Venerari Wavesmith was my first non-common card, that I owned; I got it through rewards.
But that Naga Assassin brings some more variety to my deck and also a small amount of this valuable Collection power. Little by litte, I am trying to build up my collection power. So probably in a few weeks or months I can shelve the Bronze League “theme” and leave the days of low rewards behind.
So yeah, it really was worth it to put some DEC into rents and grind that thing up!

Getting closer to 100 DEC/day helps a lot, since this means, that I can buy a rare card every or at least every other day, or an epic card a week. And maybe there will be even some rare or even epic drops in daily or season rewards every now and then. Of course,if I would get more DEC from loot boxes, I would be also really happy, but getting DEC instead of credits is a big win after all!
And another fine benefit is the increase in SPS airdrop points and airdropped SPS. Even though everything is still very small, I can see how it is starting to compound and grow - and I love it. This game really is amazing and it was worth every penny I invested into it so far - and also probably am gonna put some more money into it.

I am also looking forward to put my Naga Assassin to good use and really test it in many lineups. My Wavesmith really got me going and I hope that the Assassin is going to be also very useful! Those five speed look really promising to me.

I really would suggest anyone who isn't already, to check out their streams on twitch and leave a follow! They are doing such amazing content every week - and some even every day.

I am also grateful for the delegation from @phattbasskicking which is helping me a lot and also giving me some incentive to grow my life splinter selection.
