Feral Spirit

This Alpha / Beta common card of Life Splinter is not in big use anymore since the arrival and release of Chaos Legion. But before it was quite a regular card in many games, that included the Life Splinter.

Lore

Forever caught between dimensions, the Feral Spirits (and all Luminous Beasts) are the result of the Obliteration of Light, a horrible destructive event in which all the living vanished from the surface of Khymeria. These spirits do not hunger or thirst, but their fangs still bite and their claws still slash.

The Rule Set

It was a reverse speed and Target practise. So fast monster cards like the Feral Spirit aren't really too useful, but fist lets have a look at the whole team and battle.

My Team:

Summoner: MOTHER KHALA

Untamed rare Life summoner, that adds +1 HP to every monster card. So it is quite useful and can be used in many different ways.

First Position: SHIELDBEARER

Another rare Untamed card. One of the major Taunt users. It is quite a useful card in many rule sets, since the Taunt ability is a wall for almost every attacker - and they have to get down the Shielbearer first, before they can attack the back line.

Second Position: CELESTIAL HARPY

The Harpy is used because of its Opportunity ability. It is very useful to get all those low HP attackers done, as fast as possible.

Third Position: FERAL SPIRIT - The Challenge Monster

This is the challenge card and quite an interesting one. I do not have this card, so I went to rent it. The cheapest renter price is aroun 0.1 DEC, the cheapest it can get. The card is neither great, nor essentiell for anything further.

The stats are ok, but not too special:

Last Position: STITCH LEECH

This fellow completed my mostly Sneak related strategy in this battle. It is a common Chaos Legion card.

My opponents team:

My opponent is really focusing on that Oshannus strategy - every one of his cards, was probably chosen to support Oshannus.

The Battle

I went for a high sneak power, since I thought that it would helpful to get rid of potential backline attackers. And it worked quite good:

After the first round, I had his chicken done and his Sniper also down by a lot.

Well, the Feral Spirit is very slow in this rule set, so most of the time he is eithr last or second to last to attack. But it still work out quite nice. I could finish off his backline attacker, leaving only the two magic users.

And then it was everyone against that Oshannus. He could get rid of my Shieldbearer, but other than that, it worked out quite well for me.

And that's it! It is done!

Analysis

The strategy worked out quite well. We could get his backline down pretty fast and Oshannus neither had the power nor the shiels to survive.
