My Splinterland's RNG Journey
I started my Splinterlands journey in Oct 2021. It's almost a year from now!
Just sharing my CL RNG journey~
I spend a total of 5.9M credits and it's equivalent to 5900USD. After deducting 5% rebates 295USD, the total amount I spend is 5605USD.

DEC : 30k (22USD?)
Total worth as of now : 2910USD, still not enough to cover the amount I spent.
I never participate in Chaos Legion Pre-sales 1, the voucher price is too pricy at that time.
I started my pack purchased on Pre-sales 2 when the voucher price is lower. When I flashed back, it's still a pretty stupid move. I started with 118 packs and got a normal foil Baakjira. No reward for Uriel. After Pre-sales, I added 50 packs and got 2 non foil Lira the Dark. Then no reward on the next 3 airdrops.
As you can see my packs suddenly increase drastically from 242 packs to 1130 packs because I found a method to increase the airdrops number without require to spend any extra out of what I have spend in the game. Which is Purchase 100 pack +10% bonus packs and open it! It's super RNG but I love RNG and lucky enough I managed to got 1 GF and 6 non foil Grandmaster Rathe. I used to same method and now I am at 4162 Packs! I managed to do so because DEC price is really low as well as vouchers.
I am not sure this is a cleaver or stupid move but I am looking forward for Jacek airdrop and wondering how many GF/NF I am able to obtain this time!
I am still not earning anything and lost around 2695USD on this moment but I believe I will gain back in the long run? 4162 CL Packs is worth around 16648USD but I never spend that much.
What do you guys think? Please drop any comment/advise for my learning!

I have roughly the same background, except that I started a few months earlier and invested only the tenth of what you did.
I am positive now, but it was a matter of luck. When I started, I bought untamed packs and the cards were worth nothing on the market and then suddenly increased in value when Chaos Legion came out.
I think it will be the same for you, as soon as Chaos Legion will be printed out, your cards will increase a lot in value and you will see nice returns on investment!
There is one more thing that helps a lot for getting a return on investment is renting out your cards. It can be quite painful to do it manually but you can use a bot!
I am using Splex.gg (if you're don't mind, please use my ref link ! https://splex.gg/?ref=wcqs0h9ozct46xxf ).
It is quite easy to get onboard and select the cards you want to rent out and the bot does the work for you. Splex takes 10% on what you earn but it is worth it imo. I am renting out 10-15 000 CP and I get around 500 DEC per day which is quite nice!

Whoa thanks for the advise. Sure thing I will try to use it too. It's a waste for me not renting out the card that I never use!
Yes it is nice, especially when CL cards get around 50% yRoA ! I forgot to mention but the only problem of renting out cards is that it requires some Hive Power (Stacked Hive) and consumes RC. On splex they recommend 30HP per 100 cards rented, but it works with less when choosing RC saving behavior in the bot settings.
