Aim True, The Battle of the Water!

photo_2023-12-25_20-28-18.jpg

Hello guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. This is my second post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge, Aim True. Unlike the challenge theme in recent weeks, where I found it quite difficult to find battles with existing themes, I currently find many battles with True Aim. So I will share again one of the battles that I did while doing rank push.

Well, I'm not a professional player or a tournament hero. I merely like to discuss battles and strategies that in my opinion are worthwhile. I participated in this combat using my Scholarship account by Bulldog1205 with IGN NIGHTMAREINBONE that played in Gold league at modern rank. The battle strategy that I shared may not be effective in other leagues because of the different levels of each league.

Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the main point of this post!

BATTLE PREPARATION

Challenge Rules

RULESET: AIM TRUE

Description:
Melee and Ranged attacks will always hit their target.

This applies to magic attacks even if the Phase ability is in play.

Line Up and Strategy

In the rulesest Aim True, some things to note include:

  • Mastery of speed, although all attacks always hit the target, but if we have a higher speed, the chances of us attacking and getting victory will increase.
  • Focus on a strong defense that does not rely on RNG. This can be done by choosing a strong tank with large HP and Armor which is supported by Heal, Repair, and Resurrect.
  • Don't hesitate to use monsters that have large attacks even though they have a small speed, because you can be sure that all your attacks will not be missed.

In addition, in this battle there are also Counterspell rlesets, where all monsters have the ability to Reflect Magic. So using monsters with Magic attacks is something that really needs to be avoided. For ityu, I compiled the line-up with the strategy as shown in the table below:

MonsterPositionAbilitiesStrategy
Possibilus the WiseSummoner+2 HP, Trample, ReachJust like I said in my previous post, Possibilus the Wise will provide Trample and Reach buffs. This means that this Summoner is very useful for optimizing monster melee. Moreover, Magic monsters also need to be avoided, so the attacks from this battle will focus on Melee and range only.
DiemonsharkFirstTrample, EnrageDiemonshark who has great HP and Armor, high Speed and Enrage, Retaliate and Trample ability in first place. This monster will act as a Tank as well as an attacker, because this monster also has great damage. Moreover, if the Enrage of this monster is active, then the speed and damage from the initial stats are already high will increase by 1.5x from the initial stats. Actually, Diemonshark's weakness is in dealing with Magic monsters, but since there are Counterspell rulesets, I believe that the use of Magic monsters will also be avoided by opponents.
Coastal CentrySecondDouble Strike, PiercingCoastal Centry will be the main attacker in this team, because it has a Double Strike ability with great damage and combined with Piercing ability. This monster will get a Reach ability buff from Possibilus the Wise, so even if it is in second place, this monster can still perform attacks.
Kulu MastermindThirdWeapons Training, OpportunityI chose Kulu Mastermind in third place, Its because thus monster is Opportunity monster with great damage. this monster is able to defend and attack. This is in anticipation that if the two monsters in front of him die, then Kulu mastermind will still be a good tank because they have large HP. At the level above, this monster is also getting stronger because it is equipped with Shield abilities, but I think this level is also good. W ell, I didn't use the Weapons Training ability in this battle, but the function of this monster as an attacker is already very good in this formation.
DeeplurkerFourthOpportunity, PoisonJust like Kulu Mastermond, Deeplurker who has a Chance ability with enormous damage equipped with Poison ability will duet with Kulu Mastermoid to target the opponent's monster with the smallest HP, so it will make the attack on the opponent's atmosphere more deadly because of the consecutive attacks from the two monsters.
Swamp SplitterFifthRepair, Giant KillerThis is a Support monster as well as an attacker, because it has the ability Repair and has 3 attacks.
Wave BroodLastTaunt, Close Range, VoidThis is a rear tank where monster ii has taunt ability, Close Range and also Void.. Wave Brood can withstand Magic attacks well because it has a Void ability, and can withstand attacks from Range monsters well because it has the Return Fire ability, but this monster is weak against Melee attacks, where this monster also has no Armor.

You can see the line-up of both teams as shown below. The opponent also uses nSummoner Possibilus The Wise with Mantharot who is a Rebellion monster in first position, Coaltal Centry in second position, Kulu Mastermind in third position, Deeplurker in fourth position, Nerissa Tridawn in keliam position and Swamp Splitter in last position.

CONCLUSION

Although at first glance, the line-up of the two teams is almost the same, Alwan made a fatal mistake by using Nerissa Tridawn which is a magic monster with great damage to Counterspell rulesets. This is the key to my victory in this battle.
