Hello Guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back with my Splinterlands post, and today I wanna share my amazing battle to take apart of Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. When I push rank, I get the rulesets "Are You Not Entertained?" where with these rulesets we can use one Gladius monster outside the brawl without Summoner with Conscript. So if you use Summoner with Conscript, you can use 2 Gladius at once in one battle.

Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. I played on modern and wild battles on Gold leagues, and maybe the battle strategies I'd share weren't suitable to apply in other leagues because the differences in ability that open up are different from each league.

Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post!

BATTLE PREPARATION

The rulesets in this battle are:

• Explosive Weaponry (All Monsters have the Blast ability)
• Are You Not Entertained? (One additional Gladiator card may be used in battles)
• Mana Capacity 47
• Active Element Fire, Water, Earth, Life and Death.

In accordance with the rulesets above, for defense from highly explosive blasts, the pair of Taunt monsters and Reflection Shield monsters is very necessary.

Mycelic Slipspawn level 5 with Taunt and Forcefield abilities and Venator Kinjo who has a Reflection Shield will be the core of defense. The positions of these two monsters will be in the last position and fifth position. The goal is to share the load with the tank in the first position. This will be better, so Mycelic Slipspawn will not die in just one round.

Grund who has Double Strike and Trample abilities with 4 Melee attacks will be in first place and Quora Towershead, the Gladiator will be in second place. Quora Towershead, even though it gets Blast from the attack that hits Grund in the first position, I believe it will not die easily because it has the Heal ability, so before Bloodust is active, the HP you have will restore a maximum of 4 HP in each round.

In addition, in the third and fourth positions, Queen Mycelia and Goblin Psychic monster Support are my choices. Queen Mycelia has the ability to Protect, Amplify, and Triage. The Protect ability is very useful because it provides 2 additional Armor for all enemy monsters, while the Triage ability is also very useful because it will restore the HP of other monsters besides the one in the first position that gets the most attacks. In this case, of course, Taunt, the monster that gets the most attacks. This will be very useful for defense.

While Goblin Psychic has the abilities Thank Heal, Affliction and Silence. Thank Heal will restore the monster's HP in first place in each round, Affliction if it hits the target making the target unable to heal, and Silence will reduce all the opponent's magic monster attacks. Well, You can see the complete line-up of both teams in the picture below:

The opponent uses the Life deck with Summoner Tyrus Palladium and the monster Gladiator used by the opponent is Captain Katie. You know, Captain Katie is also one of my favorite Gladiators, but I prefer to pair her with Grandmaster Rathe.

Opponents use 3 monsters with straight forward targets, Sacret Unicorn with 5 Melee attack plus Piercing and Trample abilities, Prismatic Energy with Reflect Magic and Void abilities, and Evangelist who has 4 range attacks and has Snare and Inspire abilities. 2 Sneak monsters that is Silvershield Assassin who has Double Strike and Poison abilities, and Sand Worm which has enormous damage, namely 6 Melee attacks, and 1 Snipe monster, Captain Katie the Gladiator.

I think this battle was beyond expectations, because it only took 3 rounds to complete. Although there is no Bloodust party from the Gladiators, interesting performances still occur. Grund, played an unexpected role. Almost all of the opponent's monsters were exhausted due to Grund's attack.

Although it only takes 3 rounds to end this battle, the first round runs quite a long time. As usual, the first round begins with buffs and debuff parties of all monsters, summoners and rulesets. Obviously, after getting buffs and debuffs, the opponent's damage in one round is more than the total damage I have, and my team's average speed is still inferior to the opponent.

Even though it lost in the amount of damage and speed, who is the Trample Grund attack that has been active since killing the Scared Unicorn is the starting point for the victory that I get. Although only Scsred Unicorn died in this round, the opponent's defense has clearly been torn apart. Until the end of the first round, the Prismologist who replaced Scaret Unicorn left only 2 HP and Silvershield Assassin who was behind him only 3 HP left.

Sure enough, it didn't take much time for the Prismologist to die, and Grund again showed an interesting spectacle, in one session being able to kill 3 monsters at once. Grund's first blow kills the Silvershield Assassin and destroys Captain Katie's Armor, and Trample who actively attacks Captain Katie leaves Captain Katie 2 HP. The second blow from Double Strike kills Captain Katie and activates the Trample ability, then the attack from the Trample kills the Sand Worm.

At the end of the second round, only the Evangelist himself was left who eventually died at the beginning of the third round. The battle ended in a crushing victory, my massive formation was full with Bloodlust Quora Towershead active at the end of this battle. You can see the final period of this match in the picture below.

STRATEGY DISCUSSION

The strategy I applied worked very effectively in this battle. Grund put on an epic performance, with Trample being active many times and being the key to victory.

The main mistake made by opponents is to focus too much on large damage, but not considering a strong defense. The opponent is also too confident, not using monster support that has Repair or Tank Heal.
