Hello guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. This is my second post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Rise of the Commons. If it's easy, then it's not a challenge. And sure enough, playing in the upper leagues such as in the diamond league or Champ with rulesets that vary greatly with one direct battle of 3 rulesets, these rulesets limit our movement in choosing cards.

As I said in my first post, Rise of Common rulesets may sometimes be encountered during push rank in gold league or below league, if you have a fairly complete and varied card and have a good RNG, winning in these rulesets is not difficult. However, if you only have a limited variety of cards, you might lose more than win. Especially after the Rebellion edition came out, the monsters were getting more and more with additional abilities as well, so you have to completely change the battle strategy that you usually use.

Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. I'll share my battle strategy when I play in the Diamond league with an account scholarship with IGN BLTZR-WIZARD-700 where I've recently lost in these rulesets.

BATTLE PREPARATION

Challenge Rules

RULESET: Rise of the Commons

Description:
Only common and rare units may be used in battles.

Summoners are unaffected by this rule.

Battle Rulesets

The rulesets in this battle are:

• Rise Of the Commons (Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in the battles)
• Are You Not Entertained? (One additional Gladius card may be used in battles)
• Up Close and Personal (Only monsters with melee attack may be used in battles)
• Mana Capacity 39
• Active Element Fire, Death and Dragon.

Line Up and Strategy

The strategy that I will apply is to use front and back defense, and also use attackers to attack from the front and back. So I put together the line-up with a strategy as shown in the table below.

Monster	Position	Abilities	Strategy
Conqueror Jacek	Summoner	+2 Speed, Scattershot, Piercing	Conqueror Jacek will increase the speed for all friendly monsters, and this will make the monsters more aggressive because they get the opportunity to attack early. This summoner has a mana cost of 6, but because this is a high mana battle it won't be a problem. In addition, the Piercing ability will be very useful because attacks from all monsters can penetrate the opponent's armor.
Antoid Platoon	First	Shield, Scavenger	I chose Antoid Platoon as the tank in the first position because this monster has Shield ability, so the attack of the opponent's monster will be reduced to hitting this monster. In addition, this monster also has a Scavenger ability where if another monster dies both friend and foe monsters, this monster's HP will also increase. This will make the defense stronger.
Chimney Wallstop	Second	Reach, Bloodlust	In the second position I chose Chinmey Wallstop because I was interested in utilizing the Bloodlust of this monster. The strength of this monster is because what I have is still low level, so the stats that exist now are not so good, and also this monster requires a fairly large mana cost. I hope that the cost eaten is worth the show that will be shown.
Verox Defender	Third	Protect, Repair, Shatter	Verox Defender is a Soulbound monster that can support defenses because it has the ability Protect and also Repair. As you know, Protect will provide an additional 2 Armor for all friend monsters, and Repair will return 2 Armor from the friend monsters that receive the most attacks on each turn of this monster. I deliberately placed it in the middle of the formation so that this monster would not die immediately in the early rounds because it became the target of attack.
Tenyii Striker	Fourth	Senak, Dodge, Backfire	Besides Chinmey Wallstop, Tenyii Striker is the most important attacker in this formation, because he has very heavy damage. This monster can also be a rear tank, because it has the ability to Dodge and Backfire combined with high speed. It could be that just standing still, opponents who fail to attack will die because of this Backfire from Tenyii Striker
Dumacke Orc	Fifth	Shield, Retaliate, Thorn	Dumacke Orc in the last position is really a rear tank because it has the ability Shield to withstand attacks from Sneak alwan, Retaliate which can reply to enemy attacks directly (but this is very tricky and there is no guarantee when it will activate) and also has the ability Thorn, which is the best defense from melee attacks because attacks that hit this monster will turn to the attacker. Unfortunately, this monster has only 1 HP, even though it has 8 Armors.

You can see the line-up of both teams in the picture below. Opponents also use Summone Conqueror Jacek with more varied monsters.

STRATEGY DISCUSSION

My strategy didn't work well. Apart from the fact that the variety of cards I have is more limited than the opponent, the strategy applied by opponent also looks more effective because the opponent can use several support monsters, namely by using Demoralize monsters and also using 2x repair from Verox Defender and Junker.

In addition, RNG is also not on my side, where almost all of my attacks for the opponent's Tenyii Striker always miss, while the opponent's attack on my Tenyii striker is always on target, even though the speed of both teams is the same because there is no buff and debuff speed except from Conqueror Jacek. You don't know, but it's hard to play Rise of the Commnos rulesets in the Diamond league, because I very rarely win with these rulesets.
