EQUAL OPPORTUNITY Battle Mage Secrets
Hello Guys!
Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post and today I wanna share my Battle Mage Secrets, Equal Opportunity rulesets. It was quite difficult for me to find these rulesets, I don't know why the rulesets that became the theme of the challenge that week I always had trouble getting them. If I get these rulesets, it is not uncommon for friends to give up, or the opponent only uses low level cards which are very uninteresting to discuss.
Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. I played on modern battles on Gold leagues using my scholarship account with IGN nightmareinbone, and maybe the battle strategies I'd share weren't suitable to apply in other leagues because the differences in ability that open up are different from each league.
Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post!
BATTLE PREPARATION
Challenge Rules
RULESET: EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
Description:
All units gain the Opportunity ability which allows them to attack the unit with the lowest health on the enemy team.
Battle Rulesets
The rulesets in this battle are:
- Lose Legendaries (Legendary Monsters may not be used in this battle)
- Holy Protection (All Monsters have the Devine Shield ability)
- Equal Opportunity (All Monsters have the Opportunity Ability)
- Mana Capacity 21
- Active Element Fire, Life, Death and Dragon.
Line Up and Strategy
Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
---|---|---|---|
Quix The Devious | Summoner | -1 Range, -1 Speed | I chose Quix The Devious as a Summoner because it can reduce the speed of all enemy monsters, so my monsters will be able to attack first and increase the chance of winning In addition, Quix The Devious also reduces the damage range for all enemy monsters. |
Imperial Knight | First | Void Armor, Heal | Imperial Knight is one of the newest reward cards that is very useful as a tank because it has Void Armor and has a fairly large innate Armor. It's the common version of Alvar's Legionaire with which capacity is smaller. This monster of mine already has an active Heal ability, so I believe it will survive well from the attacks of the opponent's monster. |
Time Mage | Second | Slow, Rust | Time Mage is in second place, with the smallest Health point, so maybe this monster will be the first monster to die. But this monster has a Slow ability that will reduce the speed of all enemy monsters. This monster has a fairly high speed that is 5, this will give this monster to get the ability to attack first before dying, with a note that it does not get attacks from opposing monsters with higher speeds. |
Venari Crystalsmith | Third | Thank Heal, Dispell | If I usually use Venari Crystalsmith as a support monster because it has the Thank Heal ability, but in this battle the main player of this monster is as an attacker, because it is the only range monster in this formation, with a fairly high speed of 4. The Thank Heal ability that is able to restore the monster's HP in the first position, and Dispeel which will eliminate all positive influences received by the target are certainly also quite helpful. |
Uraeus | Fourth | Sneak, Poison | Uraeus has a speed of 4, and 2 melee damage and Poison ability. Although maybe this will be the second monster to die after the Time Mage, but with the stats I have, I think this is enough to complement this formation. |
Stitch Leech | Fifth | Sneak, Life leech | Sneak monsters with Life Leech ability, will be the core of the game with HP that will continue to increase if this monster's attack hits the target's HP. It is possible that this monster will have a large HP and become a monster that will last until this battle ends, or it could be the last monster to die. |
Vulguine | Last | Scavenger, Dodge | Valguine is almost the same as Stitch Leech which is related to increasing HP, this monster has a Scavenger ability where its HP will increase if another monster dies. |
You can see the line-up of the two teams from the picture below. The opponent also uses Summoner Quix The Devious combined with Life monsters.
BATTLEFIELD ARENA
I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.
I think my strategy is a little messed up, and I trust my diki too much. The Time Mage who was the target of Opportunity because he had the least HP died since the battle just started, and in the end my monster has a lower speed than the opponent's monsters. I felt almost defeated at the beginning of this battle. But it turns out that the increase in HP from Stitch Leech and Valguine is the key to victory in this battle.
As usual, the battle begins with buff and debuff party for all Summoners and Monsters. Both teams get a -2 speed debuff from the summoner and from the Time Mage's Slow ability. Even so, my Time Mage became the first monster to get the opportunity to attack. But immediately received replies from the Time Mage and Dragon Assassin in succession. My Time Mage finally died after getting an attack from Djinn Renova.
The second round begins with the Dragon Assassin dying from poison from Uraeus. The opponent's Time Mage starts an attack with the target being my Uraeus, then followed by Djinn Renova. Uraeus died after being attacked by Djinn Renova. The opponent's formation is getting more solid and stronger after the Venari Marksrat dies and then the Martyr ability is active so that Djin Renova, who originally only had 3 magic damage, now has 4 magic damage, and Blinding Reflector has increased damage to 2 melee attacks. Until the end of the second round, each team has 4 monsters left.
My Venari Crystalsmith died immediately from the beginning of the third round due to consecutive attacks from Djinn Renova and Time Mage. I can't kill the opponent's monsters in this round.
In this fourth round, the target target of the opponent's monster attack is the Imperial Knight. In this round, there were also many miss attacks. Valguine failed to hit the Time Mage, and the Imperial Knight also failed to hit the Blinding Relector. Until the end of this round, each team had 3 monsters left.
The Imperial Knight died early in the fifth round. Time Mage also died in this round. There are still 2 monsters left on each team.
Blinding Reflector died at the beginning of the sixth round, now only slashed Djinn Renova on the opponent's side. And in the end, Djinn Renova died in the 8th round. I won this battle with 2 remaining monsters, Valguine and Stitch Leech.
STRATEGY DISCUSSION
I think my strategy went pretty well in this battle. Although this is a little sloppy, I was able to win this battle. When viewed from the course of the match, of course, the opponent's strategy that places Martyr in the right position looks more mature. But in battle we know that not only damage and attack are important, defense is equally important. By utilizing the HP Increase from Life Leech and Scavenger monsters, this can be a good defense.
