Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Unprotedted. These rulesets make all monsters lose Armor, and cannot give or give receiving Armor from buffs.

Well, I'm not a professional player or a tournament hero. I merely like to discuss battles and strategies that in my opinion are worthwhile. I participated in this combat using my Scholarship account with IGN BLTZR-WIZARD-700. I played in the Diamond league at modern rank while using a Full main Chaos Legion edition card and several Reward cards whose level was not max. The battle strategy that I shared may not be effective in other leagues because of the different levels of each league.

Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post!

BATTLE PREPARATION

Challenge Rules

RULESET: Unprotected

Description:
All armor is removed from units and one cannot gain armor.

Shield and Divine Shield are unaffected.

Battle Rulesets

The rulesets in this battle are:

• Unprotected (Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from abilities or Summoner buffs.)
• Holy Protection (All Monsters have the Devine Shield ability)
• Melee Mayhem (Melee attack Monsters cat attack from any position)
• Mana Capacity 42
• Active Element Fire, Water, Earth, and Life.

Line Up and Strategy

In accordance with the rulesets above, there are several strategies that I will apply,

• Because all monsters don't have armor, so I will use a combination of melee, range and magic attacks with the criteria of having considerable damage and high enough speed.
• The tank of this formation is a monster with a big HP and high speed. Monsters with Forcefield, Shield, and Void capabilities also need to be considered.
• Monsters with Dodge and Phase also need to be considered.

In accordance with the above considerations, I compiled the line-up as shown below.

Monster	Position	Abilities	Strategy
Kelya Frendul	Summoner	+1 Speed, +1 Armor	Although the Buff for adding Armor is useless, because it gives an increase in speed pad for all monsters, Kelya Frendul is still my chosen Summoner. I need a Water monster that has many powerful monsters with great damage and good defense and high speed, and Kelya Frendul is able to summon these monsters.
Djinn Oshanus	First	Void, Phase, Forcefield	In this Unprotected rulesets, I think Djinn Oshanus is the best tank because it has a large HP equipped with several abilities to defend, such as Void which is useful for reducing Magic attacks received, high Phase and Speed which makes this monster have many chances to avoid enemy attacks with small speed, both from melee attacks, ranged and magic. In addition, this monster has the ability Forcefield, where this monser only receives 1 damage from attacks with a power of 5 or more. This is obviously very useful because it does not rule out the possibility that the opponent will use many monsters with great damage considering the Melee Mayhem rulesets that really support the strategy.
Diemonshark	Second	Trample, Enrage, Retaliate	If we usually use this monster in the first position as a tank and attacker, this time I use this monster in the second position as an attacker. This is because this monster is weak enough to withstand Magic attacks, and in this Unprotected ruleset, this monster's HP is smaller than Djinn Oshanus who is in first place. Melee damage is decent and Trample ability will be very helpful for attacking the opponent's defense.
Kulu Mastermind	Third	Weapons Training, Opportunity, Shiled	I chose Kulu Mastermind in third place because this monster has a large melee attack damage, large HP, Shiled ability that will reduce melee attacks and range received by this monster, and has a very special ability, namely Weapons Training where non-damage mustard beside this monster will get half of the amount of damage from this monster.
Mardaali Guardian	Fourth	Thank Heal, Repair, Strengthen	If usually Maardali Guardian is only a support monster, this time I use this monster right next to Weapons Training so that this monster also has attack damage. This monster will get half of the amount of Kulu Mastermind damage, and because this is a Melee Mayhem battle, the Melee damage obtained will still be able to attack even if it is not in the first position. So while this monster is still next to Kulu Mastermind, this monster will be very useful as a support and attack at the same time.
Deeplurker	Fifth	Opportunity, Poison, Demoralize	This was the second Opportunity monster besides Kulu Mastermind. The combo of these two monsters will be more effective to attack the opponent's atmosphere with the same target, especially in this battle there are Holy Protection rulesets where all monsters have Devine Shield abilities that make the first attack that hits the monster will be ignored. In addition, this monster also has great damage that is equipped with Poison ability. This monster also has Demoralize which is very useful in Melee Mayhem rulesets because it will reduce melee damage from all enemy monsters.
Kulu Swimhunter	Last	None	In the last position I chose Kulu Swimhunter because it has high speed. This is also the only range monster in this formation and although it doesn't have any special abilities, it has great damage.

This battle is very interesting, because the results are beyond the predictions of most people. At first glance, opponents who have many monsters with great damage and also monsters using Jared Scar, monsters with Bloodlust and True Strike abilities are certainly very convincing to win. But because the Forcefield monster is the target of monsters with great damage, the damage received is only 1. This made the result of this game very unexpected.

CONCLUTION

I won this battle easily because the strategy I applied worked very effectively. Forcefield is very helpful for victory, and it is necessary to consider its use in certain rulesets. In the Unprotected battle, some things to watch out for are Monsters with attack-reducing abilities such as Voids and Shield should be considered tanks. In addition, other criteria for having a strong tank are Monsters with high Speed and large HP
