Its Time to Rare and Common Monsters to Show Off!

Hello guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Rise of Common. I plan to include 2 posts to participate in this challenge and this is my first post. And this is also not the first challenge with these rulesets, because a few weeks ago this challenge has also appeared.

Rise of Common rulesets may sometimes be encountered during push rank, if you have a fairly complete and varied card and have a good RNG, winning in these rulesets is not difficult. However, if you only have a limited variety of cards, you might lose more than win. Especially after the Rebellion edition came out, the monsters were getting more and more with additional abilities as well, so you have to completely change the batte sreategi that you usually use.

Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. In this battle that I shared, I played in the Gold Modern battle league using my scholarship account from Bulldog 1205 with IGN NIGHTMAREINBONE. This can be a reference strategy if you play in the same league, but I don't guarantee this strategy works if you apply it to other leagues because of the different card levels in each league.

Ok guys, without further ado, let's go to the main points of this post!

Line Up and Strategy

MonsterPositionAbilitiesStrategy
Possibilus the WiseSummoner+2 Health, Trample, ReachBy relying on the ability of Possibilus the Wise, it will give Melee a chance for monsters with great damage to become the main attacker even though they are in second place. In addition, the Trample ability from Possibilus the Wise will be very useful and very appropriate to use in this Stampede ruleset.
DiemonsharkFirstTrample, EnrageAlthough the original ability of Diemonshark is useless in this battle because of the Rulesets and also the Summoner buff, but I still designed this monster in the first position because this monster has large HP and Armor which is very suitable as a tank, and has high speed and also great damage, so it will increase the chance of winning because of the defense and attack it has.
Coastal CentrySecondDouble Strike, PiercingCoastal Centry is a favorite attacker for many players when combined with Possibilus the Wise, because it allows this monster to have Double Strike with Piercing ability and is equipped with great damage can be the main attacker who has Trample ability by placing it in second place. I'm sure this monster will provide an interesting engagement in this battle.
DeeplurkerThirdOpportunity, PoisonDeeplurker is an Opportuinity monster with enormous damage equipped with Poison ability. With buffs from Summoners, this monster also has Trample abilities and this might be very useful in gaining victory.
Pelacor BanditFourthSneak, FlyingBy relying on great speed and sneak ability, this monster will focus on attacking the opponent's back side.
Swamp SpitterFifthRepair, Giant KillerThis is both an Attcaker and a support monster. With the Repair ability, this monster will support Diemonshark who is in first place, by returning 2 damaged Armor in each round.
Supply RunnerLastSwiftnessSupply Runner is also a Support and attacker monster, because it has a Swiftness ability that will increase the speed of all friend monsters, and also this monster itself has a large speed with 3 damage ranges. It will be very useful.

You can see the line-up of both teams in the picture below. Opponents use Soulbound Fire Summoners to present Gladius monsters in this battle. The line-up of the opponent's monsters is also very varied, ranging from promo monsters, Glaius monsters, Soulbound monsters, Riftwatchers monsters and Rebellion monsters.

I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.

This battle is very interesting because the opponent looks very scary with a complete variety of cards from several editions, and the opponent also uses the monster Gladius. But it didn't take long to win this battle, even with the final result which was very surprising because I won decisively without losing a single monster.

round1.png

As usual, the first round begins with buffs and party debuffs from all monsters and Summoners. The average speed of my monsters is higher than that of the opponent's monsters, and from this first round we can see that the opponent uses a defensive strategy by using a combination of Protect and Repair monsters. This is the opposite of me focusing on attacking, relying on as much damage as possible combined with high speed.

The first round was exactly what I expected, all the monsters attacked first without giving the opponent a chance to fight back. Unfortunately, Swamp Spitter's attack misses Arkemis the Bear. On the opposing side, Chimney Wallstop's attack also missed, and this also ended the first round at the same time.

round2.png

Not long after the second round begins, Archemic the Bear dies from a Supply Runner attack. Not long after this, Torch Vizier was also killed by the Deeplurker's attack, and this activated the Trample Deeplurker so that his attack continued to Rune Crafter. Unexpectedly, Chimney Wallstop also died from being hit by Swamp Spitter who has the Giant Killer ability. Until the end of the second round, the opponent had lost 3 monsters and 3 monsters were left.

round3.png

The third round went very fast and no monsters died. There were 2 attacks that missed this round, namely Verox Defender's attack to Diemonshark and Swamp Spitter to Verox Defender.

round4.png

Although no monsters died in the third round, the fourth round was the last round of this battle. The opener of the fourth round was Tinderlock who died due to the attack of the Pelacor Bandit. Not long after that, Verox Devender who was in first place also died after being attacked by Diemonshark and Suplly Runner. Furthermore, Rune Crafter who was the opponent's last m onster died because of Deeplurker.

This battle ended with a crushing 6-0 victory, with the final result as shown below.

CONCLUTION

The strategy I applied worked very effectively in this battle. By relying on speed and effective attack damage, I won this battle easily, even though I lost in the monster variety.
