Hello guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge What Doesn't Kill You. This is my kaduku's post to join this challenge.

Well, I'm not a professional player or a tournament hero. I merely like to discuss battles and strategies that in my opinion are worthwhile. I participated in this combat using my Scholarship account with IGN BLTZR-WIZARD-700. I played in the Diamond league at modern rank while using a Full main Chaos Legion edition card and several Reward cards whose level was not max. The battle strategy that I shared may not be effective in other leagues because of the different levels of each league.

Alright, without further ado, let's get to the main topic of this post!

Challenge Rules

RULESET: What Doesn't Kill You

Description:

All units gain the Enrage ability which multiplies their speed and melee attack by 1.5x rounded up.

The attack multiplier only affects melee units.
Units with Inspire will increase your melee attack; Demoralize will decrease your opponent's melee attack.

The rulesets in this battle are:

  • What Doesn't Kill You (All Monsters have the Enrage ability)
  • Mana Capacity 38
  • Active Element Life, Dragon.

Line Up and Strategy

In general, the strategies that can be used if all monsters have Enrage ability because of What Doesn't Kill You rulesets are:

  • Using a Tank that has a very high speed, by utilizing multiplies speed and melee attack by 1.5x rounded up so that the chance to avoid enemy attacks will also increase.

  • You can consider using melee monsters with large damage, so when Enrage is active, the damage produced will be greater and more deadly.

  • Using monsters that have the True Strike ability, so that the attack remains the target even though the target has a very high speed due to Enrage.

  • Buff and Debuff Speed are indispensable, to increase the effect of Enrage.

  • Buff and Debuff Melee are needed. Monsters with Inspire will increase your melee attack; Demoralize will decrease your opponent's melee attack.

In accordance with what I consider diaats, then I arrange the line up as below.

In addition, this monster will reduce the damage range. Compared to using Life Summoner, I think it's better to use Dragon Summoner so that I can use more monster combinations.

Pelacor Conjurer whose initial stat is very powerful, if Enrage is active it will be more difficult to be hit, both by Magic, Melee, and Range attacks. This is because the Pelacor Conurer already has high speed combined with Flying ability, as well as Phase ability. In addition, this monster also has Reflect Magic, and Devine Shield.

Almost the same as the Pelacr Conjurer who controls the ability to dodge enemy attacks, this monster also has a very high speed combined with Flying ability and Phase ability to avoid magic attacks. In addition to having a Phase, this monster also has a Void, so the damage of magic attacks that hit this monster will be reduced by half. Magic monsters will find it more and more difficult to deal with these monsters.

Time Mage in fourth position becomes an attacker as well as a Support monster. Time Mage has 3 magic damage and very high speed as an attacker, and also has Slow to reduce all the speed of enemy monsters, and also Rust ability that will remove 2 Armor from all enemy monsters.

Although this monster is slow because it only has a speed of 1, this monster is also very important in speed modification, because it has a swiftness ability. Swiftness ability will increase the speed of all friend monsters. Repair ability will repair the armor of the comrade monster that receives the most attacks. Resurrect ability will revive the fastest dead comrade monsters. In addition, for self-defense, this monster has Flying and Immunity abilities.

This is because this monster has a huge damage, which is 4 and is equipped with Blast and Scattershot. This means that the attack of this monster is irregular and does not affect any ability including the Taunt monster. Attacks with unexpected directions will be an advantage because it could be that if you hit a monster with a small HP in the formation, it will be very detrimental to the opponent. In addition, the Blind ability will also be very useful, will make the Void Dragon as the main tank have a greater chance of avoiding enemy attacks.
photo_2023-10-14_14-12-12.jpgNaga AssassinLastBackfire, SwiftnessDragon Assassin in the last position is also very important with this modify speed strategy that I applied. This monster has a very high speed and has Swiftness and Backfire abilities. As we know that Siftness will increase speed for all friendly monsters, and this is the second swiftness monster besides Adelade Brightwing. Relying on a combination of speed and backfire ability where if the attack for this monster misses, then the attack will turn to the attacker, this monster is very appropriate as a rear tank to become a tank for Sneak monsters.

You can see the complete line-up of both teams in the picture below. The opponent also uses Modify speed in his strategy, where Summoner Lux Vega with +1 Speed is his choice.

This battle runs quickly, with almost the same strategy, which relies on speed to achieve victory. Indeed, if we have a higher speed, then we can have more chances of winning, because we can attack at the beginning and there is a possibility of the opponent's monster dying before making an attack. Especially with Enrage ability where attacks that hit HP will activate Enrage where the speed will increase by 1.5x.

If you look at the line-up pad above, it is clear that both teams have given a speed increase of 2. The opponent got a speed increase from Adelade Brightwing's summoner and swiftness, while my team got a speed increase from Adelade Brightwing and Dragon Assassin. However, I also gave a decrease in speed from the Summoner and also the Time Mage. This will be the advantage of my team.

STRATEGY DISCUSSION

The strategy I implemented worked very effectively. By modifying speed, giving speeed improvements for friend monsters and reducing speed for opponents became the key to my victory. Obviously, this stargei is also what I applied to previous battles, and it is indeed very effective for What Doesn't Kill You rulesets.
