Hello Guys!

I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. This time I'm going to share one of my battles with Immortalis, Legendary Summoner from Earth element. To be honest since the Immortalist came out, I've been very interested in this Summoner, and this became the mainstay Summoner during the brawl battle for me to combine with Quora. If after Chaos Legion comes out, the Earth element Obsidian becomes a favorite of many players, then Immortalis is a counter to Obsidian. Are you curious? Let's see how strong the Immortalist is!

Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. I played on modern and wild battles on Gold leagues, and maybe the battle strategies I'd share weren't suitable to apply in other leagues because the differences in ability that open up are different from each league.

IMMORTALIS

IMMORTALIS.png

Immortalis is a Chaos Legion Legendary Summoner who has a mana capacity of 6 with abilities -1 Health, Void, and Shatter. With its Void, this Summoner is very helpful to overcome magic attacks, just like the Untimed Summoner, Mimosa Nighshade.

Because it has 6 mana, this Summoner cannot be used on minion rulesets, and I think it is also more suitable for use in middle and high mana battles. If you choose from the abilities given, Immortalis can be considered for use in some battle rulesets, even when there are Reflect Magic rulesets and you plan to use magic army monsters, it won't be a problem because of the Void you have. tau when tulesets Armor Up, Shatter is very useful for solving all the Armor that the target has with only one punch, even though the Armor possessed by the target is very much and the damage suffered by the attacker is only 1.

BATTLE PREPARATION

photo_2023-03-06_10-45-33.jpg

The rulesets in this battle are:

  • Taking Sides (Neutral Monsters may not be used in this battle)
  • Counterspell (All Monsters have Reflect Magic ability)
  • Noxious Fumes (All Monsters start the battle poisoned)
  • Mana Capacity 46
  • Active Element Fire, Water and Earth

I've discussed some strategies we can use on Noxious Fumes rulesets in my previous post, CORNEALUS, The Power of Heal in Noxious Fumes!. In this battle, I will use the same strategy, namely by placing heal monsters in the middle of the formation so that they can survive as long as possible from the poison that drips in each round. For Counterspell rulesets, obviously the most appropriate strategy is not to use magic monsters because it is suicide. However, if the magic monster has Void ability, it will be a different story, because if the monster only has 2 magic damage, then what will turn around is 1 magic damage that will not hurt the monster. I think if I use an army of magic, Immortalis will be there to help in these rulesets.

Well, the line-up and strategy of each monster that I choose in my formation will be explained in the table below:

MonsterPositionAbilitiesStrategy

photo_2023-03-06_10-45-34 (5).jpgNectar QueenFirst (Tank)Flying, RetaliateOld school Untimed monster that is quite strong as Tank because it has large HP, high speed, Flying ability and Retaliate which will provide a counterattack if the melee monster attacks this monster.
photo_2023-03-06_10-45-34 (2).jpgPelacor MercenarySecond (Tank)Flying, HealMonsters that are the key to the defense of the Noxious Fumes rulesets. Your heal will be as good as HP after being exposed to poison in each round. The position is on the second row so as not to die immediately from the beginning of the round.
photo_2023-03-06_10-45-34 (3).jpgRegal PerytonThird (Attacker)FlyingAttcaker in this battle because he has a very high speed that has 2 magic attacks. Reflect magic doesn't mean anything because this monster will get a Void buff from the Summoner Immortalis
photo_2023-03-06_10-45-34 (4).jpgGoblin PsychicFourth (Support, Attacker)Thank Heal, AfflictionGoblin Psychic is a support that has a Thank Heal that will restore the monster's HP in the first position, and also has an Affliction that if it hits the target, the target cannot be healed anymore.
photo_2023-03-06_10-45-34.jpgQueen MyceliaFifth (Support)Protect, Amplify, TriageQueen Mycelia in addition to providing buff 2 Armor for all monsters friends also has a Triage ability which supports the Taunt tank which is positioned at the rearmost. Queen Mycelia will restore HP from the monster that receives the most attacks.
photo_2023-03-06_10-45-33 (2).jpgMycelic SlipspawnLast (Tank)Taunt, ForcefieldThe monster taunt who is almost always in my formation because in addition to being a rear Tank, he is also an attacker. Although these rulesets are too risky, at least other monsters will not be targeted by Snipe, Sneak or Opportunity monsters.

You can see the line-ups of the two teams in the picture below. My opponent this time is a bot hahaha. Indeed, lately bots are more human bots, so it's natural that bots are everywhere.

The opponent uses the Fire element with Tarsa as the Summoner. Bots are smart, the formations and strategies that are arranged are very perfect where in the first position there is a very powerful tank, namely Grum Flameblade, there is Cleanse monster, and in the middle there is a monster with Immunity Forgotten One. In addition, the opponent also only uses Melee and Range monsters, there is no Magic monster. Compared to my risky strategy, obviously the opponent's strategy has more chances of winning.

BATTLEFIELD ARENA

I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.

This battle went fast because all the monsters were poisoned at the beginning of the round. Only the one that lasts the longest will be the winner. Although the strategy I used was very effective but I was able to fight this battle, even with a thin victory.

round1.png

As usual the first round begins with a buff and debuff party of all Summoners and Monsters. Regal Peryton became the first monster to get a chance to attack. All of my magic monsters get reduced damage because the opponent's Tinderlock has Silence ability. So 1 piece of Regal Peryton's damage that hit Grum Fmaleblade directly destroyed 5 Grum Flameblade Armor. Because Grum Flameblade also has Void, so Goblin Psychic and Queen Mycelia's attacks with only 1 magic attack left are nothing to Grum Flameblade. Only the Nectar Queen and Mycelic Slipspawn ducts reduce Grum Flameblade's HP. At the end of the first round when Grum Flameblade attacked Nectar Queen, Retaliate ability activated and finally Grum got a counterattack from Nectar Queen.

round2.png

The second round started with all the monsters posioned, except for Grum Flameblade for having received Cleanse and Forgotten One that have Immunity. The attack from Radiated Brute missed hitting Nectar Queen. Then Grum Flameblade died from the attack of Nectar Queen. Although my Mycelic Slipspawn gets a lot of attacks, the HP is restored by Queen Mycelia. Radiated Brute ended up also dying in this second round.

round3.png

Just like the second round, the battle begins all the posioned monsters except Forgotten One. Queen Mycelia and Scavo Chemist die of poison. Tenyii Striker is now in first place, but soon died due to the attacks of Regal Peryton and Nectar Queen. Forgotten One's armor broke after receiving an attack from Mycelic Slipspawn but not long after that Mycelic Slipspawn died from a Tinderlock attack.

round4.png

Early in the fourth round, the Goblin Psychic died of poison. In this round, Tinderlock's attack missed the Nectar Queen. Nectar Queen died after being attacked by Forgoten One, but Retaliate was active again and Forgotten One also died due to Retaliate Nectar Queen's attack. Last Stnad Tinderlock activates immediately, and now Tinderlock has speed 5, Range attack 5, and HP 8.

round5.png

Regal Peryton died of poison. Now there is only one monster left from each team. Tinderlock's attack breaks the Pelacor Mercenary Armor. When it was Placor Mercenary's turn, HP restored to the maximum amount, but unfortunately the attack missed the Tinderlock.

round6.png

After being exposed to poison, Tinderlock attacked Pelacor Mercenary, the remaining HP 2. After restoring HP, now HP has risen again to 5. Luckily the Pelacor Mercenary attack didn't miss a beat, so Tinderlock's HP is left with 1, which will definitely die in the next round due to Poison.

round7.png

I won narrowly with only Pelacor Mercenary left which has a small HP. You can see the final results of this match in the picture below.

STRATEGY DISCUSSION

To be honest the strategy I implemented was very risky, but it was good enough to test how resistant the Immortalist was to Magic attacks. Opponents who are Bots have more mature strategies than mine. However, I think the opponent has less damage because there are 2 monsters that do not move, namely Scavo Chemist and Forgotten One.

My decision to use a full magic attack other than Tnak was also a mistake. Obviously this can be seen after getting the Silence debuff from Tinderlock all my monsters died because they didn't have great Damage. This is a valuable lesson for me and will serve as my reminder to combine attacks, not just use one type of attack in anticipation of getting an attack reduction debuff from an opponent.
