Hello guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Armored Up. I'm lucky that I got a very interesting battle with these rulesets, and I'm sure this battle will entertain you a lot.

Well, I'm not a professional player or a tournament hero. I merely like to discuss battles and strategies that in my opinion are worthwhile. I participated in this combat using my Scholarship account with IGN BLTZR-WIZARD-700. I played in the Diamond league at modern rank while using a Full main Chaos Legion edition card and several Reward cards. The battle strategy that I shared may not be effective in other leagues because of the different levels of each league.

Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the main point of this post!

Line Up and Strategy

As mentioned above, that in Armored Up, we are advised to use monsters with Void Armor to ensure that magic attacks strike armor first, and use Shatter or Piercing to destroy opponent's armor effectively. In addition, since this is a Born again battle where all monsters have the ability Rebirth, having monsters with Void Armor is very useful.

In accordance with the strategic considerations above, I chose Grandmaster Rathe who has +1 Armor, Void Armor, and Amplify buffs as Summoners because with this all monsters will have Void Armor. The order of monster formation and the strategy of each monster that I recovered will be explained in the table below:

MonsterPositionAbilitiesStrategy
Grandmaster RatheSummoner+1 Armor, Void Armor, AmplifyGrandmaster Rathe is the best Summoner on this ruleset because it will strengthen the defense not only from Melee and Range attacks, but also from Magic attacks. This is because of the Void Armor buff possessed. In addition, Summoner's Amplify ability is also very useful if we use monsters that have attack reversals such as reflect magic, Return Fire, and Thorn.
Pelacor ConjurerFirstFlying, Reflect Magic, Devine Shield, PhasePelacor Conjurer as a low mana non damage tank. It is a low favorite tank, because it has the ability to make defense also difficult to penetrate. But with the Weapons Training ability next to this monster, this monster will also have the same damage as the monster with a max of 3 damage. So, besides being a strong tank by relying on the ability to dodge melee, magic and range attacks, this monster also acts as an attacker.
Aves SturgisSecondWeapons Training, Devine ShieldI chose this monster in my line-up because this monster has a Weapons Training ability that will make Pelacor Conjurer have damage. This monster does have good damage, with 3 magic attacks, but unfortunately it only has a small HP when compared to the cost required.
Adelade BrightwingThirdFlying, Repair, Resurrect, Immunity, SwiftnessIf you follow my posts, you must know that Adelade Brightwing is my favorite support monster because she has the ability of Flying, Repair, Resurrect, Immunity, and Swiftness. Repair abilities are very useful in this battle, especially this is a combination of Armored Up rulesets with Summoner Grandmaster Rathe with +1 Armor and Void Armor buffs. In addition, the Resurrect ability of this monster will make my defense more difficult to penetrate because it will resurrect the first dead monster, which could be the main tank that was difficult to penetrate from the beginning. Swiftness ability will also be very helpful in increasing the chances of victory because it will increase the speed of all friendly monsters.
Venari CrystalsmithFourthThank Heal, DispelApart from being an attacker with 3 damage ranges and high speed, this monster is also an important support just like Adelade Brightwing. This monster has the Tnak Heal ability that will restore the HP of the friend monster in the first position, and I believe this will definitely make the defense stronger. In addition, this monster has the Dispel ability, where the target hit by Dispel will lose all positive influence, including Bloodlust and Martyr.
UraeusFifthSneak, PoisonUraeus who is a Sneak Monster who also has poison, is attacker. Poisons are especially useful in Armored Up rulesets because poisons hitting a target will reduce 2 HP in each round. This remains true even if the target still has Armor. The reason I put this monster in fifth place in the Venari Crystalsmith is because this monster is also a rear tank, along with the last monster. There is a possibility that the opponent will use a Sneak monster, and since this monster has early stats already has Armor, then this will be good as a rear defense.
PrismologistLastBlast, Forcefield, SilenceThis monster is a main attacker with 4 damage ranges accompanied by Blast. In addition, with the ability of Forcefield and the combination of Armor owned, this monster doubles as a rear tank to be the target of the opponent's monster sneak. Silence ability that reduces the magic attack of all enemy monsters becomes an important support in this formation.

You can see the complete line-up of both teams in the picture below. The opponent this time was a fellow Scholarship player from the Balthazar guild. Although fellow scholar accounts are from the same guild, but because we are only given the core card of the Chaos Legion, so we must delegate the Reward card and Promo card ourselves. I'm sure that the opponent's cards are more complete than I have, because even I don't have Jared Scar myself.

line-up.png

In the first position, the opponent uses Jared Scar who has the abilities Bloodlust, True Strike, and Piercing. You can imagine how unstoppable this monster is if you play where it is low, because Bloodlust will continue to be active if this monster manages to kill the target, and along with Bloodlust being active all stats of this monster will also increase. Especially with that great damage, this monster is accompanied by True Strike and Piercing abilities where its attacks can penetrate armor and are always on target.

In the second position, the opponent uses a Soulbound monster, IZIAR where this is a Taunt monster that has Martyr ability. I can guess if Martyr from this monster aims to increase Jared Scar's stats. Moreover, in the rulesets Born again, after dying this monster will come back to life and if it dies again Martyr will be active again. When combined with Adelade Brightwing, this monster will be resurrected twice and the Martyr ability will be activated three times. Just imagine, what kind of stats from the monster among these monsters.

The third position is Uraeus with the ability of Sneak and Poison, the fourth position is Celestial Harpy with the ability of Flying, Opportunity, and True Strike, the fifth position is Soul Fiend with the ability of Swiftness, and the last position is Adelade Brightwing with the ability of Flaying, Repair, Resurrect, Immunity and Swiftness.

STRATEGY DISCUSSION

The strategy I applied worked very effectively in this battle. Even though the opponent uses Jared Scar where the Bloodlust ability is also active many times plus plus the increase in stats from Martyr who is twice active, but I can win this battle even without a single monster missing.

The key to my victory is the Venari Crystalsmith who has Dispel. The conditions would probably have turned around if I hadn't used the Dispel monster, because Jared Scar's stats in the second round were terrible. Not only opponents, anyone who watched this battle at the beginning will definitely guess the winner immediately. But everyone will definitely be surprised by the final result of this battle.
